Chapter 25 The Natural Path
Daisy is a very cheerful girl.
Her cheerfulness also brought a smile to Xiao En's face.
"There's a big pendulum clock in front."
Although Daisy is socially anxious, she is very lively. She rarely talks to other people, but when facing Sean, she is like a chirping oriole.
As for why, maybe it’s because Xiao En is more handsome.
"The park is over there. There's a big artificial lake there. You can go fishing in the afternoon."
Daisy took out some bread crumbs and teased the white pigeons nearby. Then she turned around, smiled like a flower, and said crisply, "How about I take you to the university town for a stroll?"
What a lovely beautiful girl.
Xiao En's mood was also affected by her and he relaxed a lot.
The last time they came to the park, Sean only sat in the big square for a while. This time, Daisy took him to the artificial lake, which was indeed a large artificial lake. The water was clear and blue, and there were many fish in it, but there were not many fishermen. There were cobblestone paths on both sides of the river, with a bench at regular intervals, and green trees on both sides of the road.
There were not many people sitting near the bench, but there were many men and women on the lawn not far away. Most of them were young people in their twenties, full of energy, socializing, relaxing, and falling in love.
There are three universities nearby, and groups of students often come here to play.
Daisy is a very pleasant girl.
When she was with her, she wouldn't mind even if Xiao En didn't speak. Sometimes she would talk to herself, sometimes she would squat down to tease the small animals, and the scenery around her would make her stop and appreciate it. When she was in the mood, she would chatter a lot. When she didn't speak, she would squat on the ground and fiddle with the grass, observing the ants crawling on the ground.
Sean got along very easily with her, and they didn't feel awkward when they didn't talk. They strolled in the park separately, Sean walking slowly behind her, while Daisy ran around lively, turning back from time to time to see if Sean had gotten lost.
This isn't a forest, it's not easy for Sean to get lost.
"Are you from the Derby area?" Sean sat on a bench beside the road.
Daisy was a little short, sitting on a bench and swinging her little feet. Her pair of exquisite deerskin boots showed that she came from a wealthy family. She looked at the artificial lake in front of her, skipped the stones in her hand, and handed one to Xiao En. She nodded and said, "Yes. It's a small place in the south of Deler, River Valley Town."
"There are not many people there. There are no big cities like Dorne."
Xiao En reached out to take the stone and threw it out. Maybe it was because of his improved physical fitness, but the stone actually flew dozens of meters away.
"Wow!" Although Daisy didn't say anything, her bright eyes widened into an expression of how awesome you are.
What a young girl who is naive and inexperienced in the world.
It can be seen that she rarely interacted with other people in the past and was relatively naive at heart.
"Where's Dele?" Sean asked.
Daisy tilted her head and thought for a moment before saying, "It's in the south of the Kingdom of Dorne, very far away. It takes three days of carriage ride, and then another day of train ride."
"But when I came here, Gugu brought me here. It only took one day."
Xiao En was a little curious when he heard this, "Gugu is it?"
Daisy opened her little hands and gestured vigorously, saying seriously: "Gugu is an eagle, very big."
The natural way.
Daisy jumped off the bench and walked to the artificial lake. She looked back and looked around. She squatted down and stretched out her hand to stir the water. Soon, she saw carp swimming over. She held a dogtail grass and directed them to circle around. She whispered, "Are you a wizard?"
Xiao En nodded slightly.
"Wow! You are so powerful!" Daisy's eyes widened when she heard that. "The elders in the forest said that wizards are the most powerful and the most difficult to advance to in the spellcasting sequence."
Sean knew this.
It is really hard to describe what he experienced during this period.
"Can I take a look? I've never met a wizard before." Daisy's eyes were full of curiosity.
Xiao En looked a little hesitant, but after looking at the clear-eyed girl in front of him, he nodded gently. An invisible hand extended from behind him, and a carp in the artificial lake was immediately caught. As the water splashed, the vague outline of a hand could be seen.
The invisible hand is invisible to the naked eye; it is a force field hand without substance.
"That's amazing!" Daisy couldn't help but exclaim.
Xiao En dispersed his invisible hand, and the carp fell into the water and disappeared. He whispered, "Did you live near the forest before?"
"Yeah." Daisy nodded and said, "Miracle Forest."
"We are all children of the forest."
Son of the forest?
Does it have any special meaning?
Daisy moved closer to Sean and whispered, "I'll tell you a secret." Sean turned his head in confusion, "Huh?"
Daisy leaned close to his ear and whispered in a faint and stealthy voice, "We are all children who grew out of the tree."
what?
Xiao En looked up in shock.
Daisy had dusted herself off and stood up. She turned back and smiled at Xiao En, saying, "Let's go. I'll take you to the university town."
Xiao En was still chewing on the other person's words on the way.
A child that grew out of a tree?
Is this a joke, or is what the other person said true?
Anything is possible in Weird Country.
Central Square.
"Sir, please buy a bouquet of flowers." A timid child's voice sounded.
Xiao En turned around and saw a little girl about eleven or twelve years old. She was wearing a gray linen dress with patches on it. She was holding a bunch of flowers in her hands, her eyes full of expectation.
"Ah? It's you, sir." The little girl obviously recognized Xiao En and seemed a little at a loss.
But she still mustered up her courage and whispered, "Sir, can you buy a bouquet of flowers for the beautiful sister next to you?"
Xiao En reached out his wallet, picked up a bunch of white lilies, and asked, "How much?"
The little girl was obviously very happy, and bowed to thank him, "5Seth, sir."
A 1 dinar note.
The little girl took out five 1-Sess coins from the pocket sewn on her clothes and handed them to Sean, saying, "Thank you, sir. Have a nice day."
She seemed to be selling flowers near the big pendulum clock, and her footprints were all over the surrounding apartments, restaurants, parks, opera houses and other places.
Xiao En handed the white lily in his hand to Daisy beside him and said, "This is for you."
Daisy smiled and said, "Thank you."
However, when she passed the center of the square, she placed the bouquet of flowers in front of the towering nameless stone tablet.
This is the second most important landmark in the area after the Great Pendulum Clock.
Caesar University is an aristocratic school located near the Garden District. It covers a large area, but not many students. Only children from aristocratic and wealthy families can afford the expensive tuition. However, Caesar University has additional free quotas every year, which are given to children of ordinary people who are both good in character and academic performance. However, only the best students can get it. They also have a scholarship of nearly 3000 dinars every year.
For ordinary people, getting admitted to Caesar University basically changes their destiny.
This university town is very majestic. The gate is a towering triumphal arch with a long history. There is a fountain at the entrance and a special statue next to it. The statue is covered with scars and shackles, and holds a burning fire in both hands.
——The fire thief - Prometheus.
The building of this college makes extensive use of white marble and is characterized by grandeur, stability and magnificence, with thick walls, rough arches, pointed roofs and exquisite carvings.
This is very Roman, and the name of the school is also Roman.
The fact that the Kingdom of Dorne uses the dinar as its currency unit shows that there was once a time traveler who had a profound influence on this land.
"A soul from another world." Xiao En's eyes were deep.
Daisy took him on a tour of the university town and then they came to the great library, which was called the Library of Alexandria, a very un-Roman name.
"The library is open to the public for free, and ordinary people can apply, but it's a bit troublesome." Daisy whispered.
The students passing by would occasionally look at Xiao En with curiosity, but they did not stop.
This university town is very large, and Daisy only took Sean for a short walk before it was already one o'clock in the afternoon.
Just as the two were about to find a place to have lunch, William appeared not far away.
His expression was quite solemn. He walked quickly to Xiao En and said, "Something unexpected happened. Many extraordinary relics flowed into Dorne City and fell into the hands of ordinary people."
"We don't have nearly enough investigators!"
"Headquarters hopes that you will cooperate with us to find those extraordinary relics that have fallen into the hands of ordinary people."
Xiao En's expression became serious when he heard this. He did not forget his current identity.
An investigator.
Only people with strong inspiration can become formal investigators.
