Chapter 131 21: Tracking
Abu was a little embarrassed, but fortunately the nurse only pondered for a short while before reaching the destination floor.
After looking at him strangely, he pushed the cart out.
Perhaps she didn't know much about Abu's injuries, or maybe she thought he was pretending to be sick and eating the hospital's nutritious meals among the disaster victims, but in any case, she didn't know.
He breathed a sigh of relief and returned to his mother's floor. After asking some questions at the nurse's station, he put aside some of his worries and went to his mother's ward.
"Mom, I need to leave for a few days." Abu held his mother's hand and said solemnly.
The mother hesitated and sighed, "When your father left me, his eyes were as determined as yours now."
"I don't mean to hurt anyone." Abu couldn't help but continue.
His mother patted his hands and interrupted him: "I know, Abu, how could you bear to hurt others? From childhood to adulthood, you are as kind as an angel. I was even afraid that my inner anger would affect you. I am very happy that even growing up in the slums did not affect your persistence in kindness. Now that you have grown up, go and do what you think is right."
"I will be a kind person, now and in the future, mother, I promise." Abu said goodbye to her in tears.
Volunteers and nurses will take good care of his mother, but what Abu needs is care for the entire capital.
After leaving the hospital, Abu hid underground and began an intensive patrol, hoping to find some trace of El.
After nightfall, I went to El's house and waited there until the next day, but I only saw a lot of plainclothes police officers, but no sign of him.
The immigrants were so frightened that they dared not organize a second demonstration in a short period of time. They could only curse the authorities for their inaction on social networks.
But there is not as much criticism against the perpetrator as one might imagine, as if people are afraid that the perpetrator can really get in through the Internet cable.
Abu tried to put himself in the other person's shoes. If he were El, then it would seem natural for him to hate immigrants and then hate Olivier who supported immigrants.
Combined with the other party's style of never getting entangled, it seems that they are only trying to create pressure on the authorities.
His heart tightened and he clenched the iron tower ornament hanging around his neck.
Without much hesitation, he searched the Internet and roughly found out that Olivier should be handling official business at the Palais de Delfort.
So he started out from underground, avoiding the subways and a large number of pipes, and came all the way to the vicinity of the Defor Palace, concentrating his perception.
".trace."
"arrange."
It was Mr. Olivier's voice.
Abu was refreshed and more focused.
However, what they said next had nothing to do with what he wanted to know, so he calmed down and continued to listen.
"You guessed right. This should be considered as another warning to me."
"Sir! Although I know I can't persuade you, I still want to ask you to cancel the speech in Tro Square."
"What do you think is the purpose of my speech?"
".vote."
"Haha, that's one aspect of it, but more importantly, we need unity. Without unity, we will fall into endless internal friction."
"I'm afraid it's difficult."
"It is difficult, but it is worth doing. Integration is bound to be a major trend. At least, for us, it is a bitter fruit that must be eaten."
"But, you are our soul, what if..."
"Even if I am gone, you are still here. Even if you are gone, as long as the tower is still standing, someone in this country will stand up eventually."
"Sure enough, I still can't persuade you."
"Don't underestimate yourself. You can keep me clear-headed at all times."
"Are you complaining about me waking you up early every day?"
“Oh, that’s one aspect of it.”
"Oh, I forgot to mention that no suspicious people appeared in the cemetery under surveillance."
"Maybe he has already appeared and is hiding in the dark. This is my intuition as a grandfather." Abu continued to listen for a while until they stopped talking and started dealing with other matters.
"The cemetery. Is that Miss Caroline?"
He put aside all distractions and checked one by one based on the clues he had just obtained. Finally, he found a suspicious cemetery at dusk.
There are no tall buildings near the cemetery, and the few buildings that are there are probably guarded by spies. Will El come?
He will indeed come.
But he did not enter the cemetery.
She simply used the "transformation" ability of the magic wand to transform herself into an old lady and came to a cafe across the street from the cemetery.
While eating snacks and drinking coffee, he looked at the fence of the cemetery, as if missing a relative who had passed away.
But his transformation was caught by Abu.
Returning to the ground from his hiding place, Abu controlled the dust on his body to scatter on the ground and walked into the cafe.
In a dessert shop not far from the cafe, a plainclothes officer glanced at Abu who walked into the cafe, and quickly focused his attention on the cemetery fence.
Ab walked straight to the chair in front of the old lady and sat down.
"What would you like to drink, sir?" asked the waiter.
He hesitated: "Does water cost money?"
The waiter was speechless for a moment and looked at the lady sitting opposite him.
"Drink, it's my treat."
The lady looked at Abu, a little surprised, but not out of control, and spoke to the waiter in a gentle tone.
"I'd like to have a glass of the same as this lady's."
"Ok."
After watching the waiter return to the counter, El said, "Are you looking for me for revenge?"
Abu shook his head: "I want you to stop killing people."
"It's very easy. I won't kill anyone again after I die." El looked into Abu's eyes. "It's strange that I can't feel any anger from you. Are your family members still alive?"
Abu's eyes dimmed and he answered irrelevantly: "I think Brother Martin should be dead, and Miss Caroline's revenge has been avenged. Why do you continue to kill people?"
"Don't mention her name with your mouth," El warned in a low voice.
"Sir, your coffee." The waiter came over with the coffee.
"Thank you."
A cup of coffee was handed to Abu's desk.
"She doesn't like coffee very much. Wet cappuccino is the only thing she can accept." El took a sip of his coffee. "You have no right to point fingers at my revenge, but you can certainly try to stop me. I know which hospital the survivors of your apartment are staying in. When do you think I'll be there?"
Abdul's breathing became heavy.
Her mother was her only relative, and he would never allow any accidents to happen.
As he clenched his fist, the ground began to tremble slightly, causing ripples in the coffee in the cup and a buzzing sound in the utensils in the coffee shop.
The waiter did not run away in panic. The shaking was similar to that of construction work nearby. He just needed to hold on to the cups that were prone to falling over.
El turned his gaze away from the coffee, and the look he gave him became different.
"I see. No wonder you were able to find me. Unfortunately, there is no reconciliation between us. But if you don't make trouble, I won't do anything to you or your family again."
"And now can't you feel my anger?"
As he spoke, he pressed a banknote under the coffee cup, picked up the magic wand, glanced at the waiter who was arranging the cups and plates, and disappeared in an instant.
Abu took a deep breath, and the slight shaking of the ground subsided.
