Chapter 91: Fighting the Imperial Concubine

Chapter 91: Fighting the Imperial Concubine
"Silver dragon sitting on eggs?"

After hearing Li Zhi's exclamation, the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi seemed a little confused and felt that the name was disrespectful.

As the saint of the Yao Chi Holy Land, she was not the kind of cultivator who knew nothing about Feng Shui, but she had never heard of this name.

The last time I heard a similar name was when I was looking for the Wu Shi Underground Palace outside Licheng. I heard Duan De talk about a tomb layout with a "Silver Dragon Rolling the Sky".

Li Zhi also knew that the name of this Feng Shui pattern was not elegant, but the "Feng Shui Burial Sutra" taught by Duan De did call the Feng Shui pattern in front of him like this.

Moreover, the Feng Shui Burial Sutra also explains this Feng Shui pattern, saying that "a silver dragon sitting on an egg represents a quest for life in death." The souls buried in this kind of tomb do not seek to ascend to heaven after death, but rather hope to be able to survive in death.

Often, some monks who have a long lifespan but die unexpectedly will choose to be buried in this kind of terrain in the hope of a miracle happening.

The creature sleeping in the "dragon egg" will be nourished by the vitality of heaven and earth, and will not become a corpse, nor will the corpse give birth to new intelligence. Instead, under the nourishment of vitality, the fatal injuries suffered by the physical body will gradually recover.

Often, people who have suffered fatal injuries and are unable to heal themselves with the help of external forces will bury themselves in this kind of terrain in the hope of recovering from their injuries with the help of the power of heaven and earth.

Of course, there are also some strong people who hope to live another life with the help of this terrain.

Li Zhi was not sure whether anyone had actually done this.

The Feng Shui Burial Sutra taught to him by Duan De did not mention any successful cases, but the "Silver Dragon Sitting on Egg" was indeed a rare and top-quality burial site in the world.

It was like a real dragon hatching eggs, possessing mysterious power of creation.

Facing the Saint Yao Chi's doubts, Li Zhi used his magic power to mark hundreds of light spots on the ground within a radius of fifty miles, and said, "Sister Yao Chi, look, is there a real dragon lying under the ground? Deep underground, directly below the dragon's head, is where the burial pit is. Does it look like a giant dragon hatching eggs?"

The Saint of Yaochi nodded slightly, then looked at Li Zhi meaningfully and said, "Little brother Changshou, are you a disciple of Taoist Duan De? It seems that you two have the same Feng Shui secrets?"

Li Zhi immediately laughed and said, "Nothing can be hidden from the discerning eyes of Sister Yao Chi. I did learn the Feng Shui burial technique from Taoist Master Duan. But he refused to accept me as his disciple. Later I went to Taixuan Sect to become his disciple. Strictly speaking, I am a disciple of Taixuan Sect."

Yao Chi Saint said with a smile: "You don't look like a disciple of Taixuan Sect at all. Are you like that Saint Body Ye Fan, who also sneaked into Taixuan Sect to obtain the Nine Secrets of Zhuofeng?"

Li Zhi said: "I am really a disciple of Taixuan Sect."

Yao Chi Saintess said: "Although I don't know what kind of ancient scripture you are practicing, Taixuan Sect definitely does not have such a powerful ancient scripture. Can you tell me your true master?"

Li Zhi said, "Sister, do you want to exchange ancient scriptures with me?"

Yao Chi Saint said: "You have obtained four volumes of the Western Emperor Scripture. This is your chance, but you must not pass them on to others. I can give you the status of a Qingke elder. From now on, you will be an elder of Yao Chi Holy Land, and the elders in the Holy Land will not say anything about your obtaining the Western Emperor Scripture."

Originally, the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi had planned to ask the Queen Mother to use the West Emperor Tower to erase Li Zhi's memory of the "West Emperor Sutra" after they returned to the Holy Land of Yao Chi.

Now that he saw that Li Zhi was also proficient in burial studies, and his method seemed to be different from Duan De's and he seemed to have a tendency to form his own school, he had the idea of recruiting a guardian elder for the Yao Chi Holy Land.

After the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi’s words, Li Zhi instantly realized that obtaining the fundamental scriptures of the Yao Chi Holy Land in front of the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi was not something worth bragging about.

This kind of powerful force that possessed imperial weapons, before it declined, was very strict with its own ancient scriptures.

Under certain circumstances, he would even resort to using imperial troops to retrieve the ancient scriptures.

After hearing what Yao Chi Saint said, Li Zhi's good mood suddenly became not so good. He originally thought that Yao Chi Saint invited him to come as tacit consent for him to obtain the "Western Emperor Sutra".

Now it seems that the Holy Land of Yao Chi has already prepared a backup plan to restrict itself.

But why would the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi point out such a sensitive issue at this time?
Shouldn't we wait until they are out of trouble before discussing how to resolve the issue of scripture leakage?

A hint of doubt flashed across Li Zhi's eyes.

Yao Chi Saint Lady seemed to understand what he was thinking, so she explained, "Actually, I'm worried that you might be in danger, which makes you feel worried."

"Concern? Only devils like this kind of concern. Could you explain it a little more perfunctorily?" Li Zhi kept complaining in his heart.

But there was a hint of surprise on his face, and he said, "Can I marry the fairy from Yaochi in the future?"

Yao Chi Saint said: "Of course you can. Yao Chi disciples do not taboo marriage. When you grow up, I will act as a matchmaker for you."

Li Zhi smiled brightly and said, "Thank you, Sister Yaochi."

But in his heart he was constantly wondering what the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi was up to.

It’s hard to guess what a beautiful woman is thinking, so forget it, let’s just solve the problem at hand first.

Then, Li Zhi said, "Sister Yaochi, please step back first. I will try to open this burial pit."

After the Holy Maiden of Yao Chi retreated to an area fifty miles away, Li Zhi began to cast a spell. The nails engraved with mysterious runes instantly grew larger in his hands and turned into giant nails three meters long.

Then he nailed the nails into the spots that had been marked on the ground previously.

"The coffin-suppressing spirit-locking formation, activate!"

One hundred and twenty-eight coffin nails suddenly burst out with an earthy yellow light, completely sealing off the land within a radius of fifty miles.

As the ochre-yellow light sank into the earth, a dragon's roar seemed to emerge from the ground, and then quickly disappeared.

After doing all this, Li Zhi breathed a sigh of relief.

The Yin energy in the earth's veins did not surge back, and the underground Yin dragon fell into a temporary sleep.

You don't have to worry about being attacked by the evil energy of the earth veins in the short term.

Upon seeing this, Yao Chi Saintess returned to Li Zhi and asked, "Changshou, have you destroyed the Dao pattern underground?"

Li Zhi shook his head and said, "The Dao patterns underground have gone through millions of years and are still strong and immortal. I suspect that they are the immortal Dao patterns left by the ancient emperor in the ancient times. I can't disintegrate them for the time being. However, those Dao patterns are only defensive Dao patterns and do not have the ability to actively attack. Now, I have put the underground Yin Dragon into a deep sleep. Those Dao patterns have also temporarily subsided. As long as we bypass that layer of Dao pattern defense, we can directly enter the underground burial pit."

Yao Chi Saint asked, "Are we overestimating our capabilities by trying to bypass the Great Emperor's formation with just the two of us?"

Li Zhi smiled and said, "I have a brilliant plan."

If you want to make use of the burial pit under the earth, you must leave a way out for the burial pit. You cannot seal it up completely with Taoist patterns. Otherwise, the burial pit will not be able to communicate with the outside world. Even the best burial pit will degenerate into a dead pit and will be of no use.

There is a detailed explanation in the Feng Shui Burial Sutra that every burial site must have a door of life and death.

The Gate of Life brings birth, while the Gate of Death brings loss of energy.

The vital energy between heaven and earth enters the burial pit through the gate of life, and the dead energy in the pit exits the burial pit through the gate of death. The in and out are full of the mystery of nature.

Therefore, for a top-quality burial pit that is really to be used, the gate of life and death cannot be sealed. Otherwise, the yin and yang of the two energies of life and death in the pit will be out of balance, which will cause the corpse to decay at best, or even breed evil spirits at worst. It will no longer be a place for good fortune and spiritual communication, but a place where ghosts and evil spirits are bred.

Whenever there are evil spirits and ghosts in a burial pit, it is often because the Death Gate is blocked.

Whenever a corpse decays rapidly within a burial pit, it is often because the entrance to life is blocked.

However, the gates of life and death in the burial pit are constantly changing and are often not fixed in one position. They will move with the movement of the earth veins and the flow of earth energy, making it difficult to ensure that they are always unobstructed.

The art of burial is profound and extensive. It is not just about digging a hole and burying the body.

It is necessary to reserve two portals, birth and death, to allow the corpse to interact with the outside world.

Therefore, the reservations for the two gates of life and death are very particular and are not something that ordinary cultivators can understand clearly.

Li Zhi could see that the senior who arranged the Dao patterns on this "Silver Dragon Sitting on an Egg" pattern was so advanced in Taoism that he could allow the gates of life and death to move freely without being blocked by the Dao patterns.

He can't even reach this level now.

The only way he could do was to put the Yin Dragon underground to sleep so that the gates of life and death would temporarily stop moving.

After completing the locking of the underground "Silver Dragon", Li Zhi opened the Eye of Life and saw the two energies of life and death and the two gates of life and death under the earth. They seemed to have formed a trajectory like a binary star system, or like the Yin-Yang eyes in the Tai Chi diagram.

The two portals are not big, only three feet in radius, one spews out Yin energy, and the other absorbs Yang energy.

Li Zhi asked the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi to wait for a moment, and he took the Luoyang shovel to the place where the yang energy was absorbed.

Then he quickly dug a large circular hole with a diameter of three feet in the ground.

Under the curious gaze of the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi, Li Zhi dug all the way underground. The big hole was not straight up or down, but extended underground in a spiral downward manner.

Upon seeing this, the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi also tried to dig a hole on the ground nearby. However, after digging ten feet deep, the soil beneath the ground became as hard as divine iron and could not be dug at all. It was as if a mysterious force had hardened the soil underground.

However, the hole dug by Li Zhi seemed to be just ordinary mud.

Seeing that Li Zhi had dug three hundred feet underground, the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi followed him down.

Six hundred feet underground, Li Zhi finally stopped digging the hole. He turned around and said to the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi behind him: "The soil in front cannot be destroyed, otherwise the door to life will be shifted immediately. Sister Yao Chi, let's burrow into the earth." Then, the two of them used the earth burrowing technique and drilled into the soil.

After walking through the mud for several feet, they appeared in a spacious underground space.

The space seemed to be nine feet in radius, and a rich life energy rushed towards me, as if I had entered a source reservoir.

The divine light on the two men suddenly increased, finally allowing them to see everything inside the burial pit clearly.

In the center of the burial pit, there was a giant divine source that was nine feet long, three feet high, and four feet wide, quietly placed there like a giant coffin.

The two were amazed by the coffin carved from such a huge piece of divine source.

There are no gaps in the divine source, as if the corpse inside is sealed with divine source liquid.

The divine source turned dark green, and the two could only see the outline of a human figure, and could not directly see the true face of the person lying inside.

Then, the two began to observe the burial pit.

Apart from the giant coffin of the God's Origin, there were no other burial objects.

There are only some exquisite carvings on the surrounding mud walls.

Even after millions of years, those carvings are still sharp and clear, as if they were just imprinted yesterday.

Moreover, each engraving was sparkling with luster, as if there were immortal Taoist patterns protecting them.

There are dozens of engravings in total, some large and some small.

But the most important ones are the six large pictures.

The first large picture depicts a beautiful girl playing beside a stream full of flowers. It can be seen that the girl is very happy.

The second large picture depicts a girl and a wise and brave boy meeting by the river. It seems that the boy fell in love with the girl at first sight.

The third large picture depicts a boy and a girl traveling around the world together. It seems that they are in a divine city, and the boy promises the girl that he will make her the most noble woman in the world in the future. The outline of the divine city behind them seems familiar, and it has some similarities with the layout of the Holy City in the Northern Territory, except that the divine city is suspended in the sky.

The fourth large picture depicts the girl growing up to be a heroic girl, fighting against powerful enemies from all directions. Those enemies seem to be the geniuses of various ancient tribes, each of them has a strong momentum and extraordinary combat power, and looks much stronger than the geniuses of today.

The fifth large picture depicts the girl being pierced through the forehead by a long sword and being held in the arms of a domineering young man. Next to the young man, there is a straight immortal iron stick inserted into the ground, which seems to have a supreme momentum that can pierce the sky.

In the sixth large picture, a man whose face could not be seen clearly moved a sacred mountain that looked like a pillar of heaven and inserted it in front of the woman's tomb as a tombstone. On the sacred mountain of the pillar of heaven were engraved six large divine characters: "Tomb of my beloved wife Yin Shan".

There were also some scattered carvings, but neither Li Zhi nor the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi knew what their specific meanings were.

After reading the carvings, Yao Chi Saintess said, "These carvings seem to be telling the story between an emperor and his childhood sweetheart."

Li Zhi said with absolute certainty: "This happened when the Saint Emperor of Fighting was young."

The magical iron stick inserted beside the young man, the momentum it contained, and the last sacred mountain that looked like a pillar of heaven, all revealed the identity of the young man.

“Could it be that the person buried here is the beloved wife of the last ancient emperor, the Fighting Saint Emperor?” said the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi.

Li Zhi said: "It should be the lover of the Fighting Saint Emperor when he was young."

Afterwards, the two of them came to the huge divine source.

After his divine sense penetrated the divine source and saw the appearance of the woman inside, it turned out that she was exactly the same as the woman in the picture.

There was a thin sword mark between the woman's eyebrows.

When Li Zhi probed his divine sense into the woman's immortal platform, he discovered that it had been shattered and was filled with huge cracks, making it almost impossible for her to be resurrected.

Even the emperor himself cannot do it unless she can live a second life independently.

Unfortunately, Li Zhi did not sense any spiritual breath in her body. The woman who seemed to be named "Yin Shan" seemed to be dead.

"Could it be that this place was arranged by the Fighting Saint Emperor in order to resurrect his lover?" This thought arose in the minds of Li Zhi and the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi at the same time.

After circling the giant divine source for several times, Li Zhi and the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi seemed to hear someone whispering in the woman's ear.

"Shan'er, I will find the Holy Spirit Flower for you and revive you. Even if there is no Holy Spirit Flower in the world, I will personally cultivate one for you."

It was as if the supreme emperor was swearing to his dead lover. The voice was filled with obsession with love, transcending ancient and modern times, allowing Li Zhi and the Fairy Yao Chi to feel the deep love contained in the voice.

"Sister Yao Chi, do you know what the Holy Spirit Flower is?" Li Zhizhi had heard of the God Flower, the Hedao Flower, and the Demon God Flower, but had never heard of the Holy Spirit Flower, so he asked the Saint Yao Chi.

"I don't know, maybe it has something to do with the Holy Spirit."

The Saint Lady of Yao Chi was considered a learned person, but she had never heard of the existence of such a magical flower in the world.

The Holy Spirit Flower is not a natural flower seed, but a divine flower cultivated with the Holy Spirit as fertilizer.

The more powerful the Holy Spirit is, the higher the quality of the divine flowers cultivated.

If the Great Holy Spirit is used as fertilizer to cultivate, the resulting divine flower of life will not only have medicinal properties comparable to the elixir of immortality, but can also allow cultivators to snatch life from the sky, possessing incredible and miraculous effects.

This method is an ancient method excavated by the ancient emperor in the early ancient times from the relics left over from the chaotic ancient times.

Even in ancient times, only a few people knew about it.

Li Zhi and the Holy Maiden of Yao Chi naturally didn't know of its existence.

After walking around the burial pit twice more, the two men found nothing valuable.

Then, Li Zhi and the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi became entangled in a dilemma. Should they take away this huge piece of divine source?

He even took the woman from the divine source out and searched her corpse to see if she had anything else of great value.

Faced with such a huge temptation, the two didn't know how to choose for a moment.

"Let's go."

In the end, the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi was more sentimental and did not want to ruin this unfinished love story.

Li Zhi also looked at the divine source again with a look of regret.

In the end, he chose to leave the burial site with a clean conscience and the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi.

After returning to the ground, Yao Chi Saint Lady looked around and suddenly said to Li Zhi, "Changshou, is it possible that the sacred mountain we are looking for is the pillar-like tombstone erected by the Fighting Saint Emperor?"

Li Zhi's eyes lit up and he said, "It's very likely."

Then, Li Zhi pulled out all the coffin nails that were nailed to the ground, allowing the feng shui layout of the silver dragon sitting on the egg to work again.

The hole he had just dug was also disappearing rapidly, and in the blink of an eye the earth returned to its original state.

Li Zhi did not find it strange at all when he saw this. Instead, he began to measure the position of the tombstone based on the location of the burial pit.

Through triangulation, Li Zhi discovered that the tombstone should be located 300 miles away from the burial pit, which is 200 miles deep into the black fog area in a straight line.

"Sister Yao Chi, the location of the Heavenly Pillar Mountain is not very deep into the black fog area. We should be careful and try to cross the black fog area."

"Let's go." The Saint Maiden of Yao Chi seemed a little impatient.

Afterwards, Li Zhi and the Saint Maiden of Yao Chi walked straight into the area covered by black fog.

Unfortunately, just after entering the black fog area, before they had gone far, they were attacked by the undead in the black fog.

They are two zombies wearing ancient armor.

However, the Holy Maiden of Yao Chi, who had already entered the secret realm of dragon transformation, was extremely powerful. With the holy tower on her head, she emitted thousands of holy lights, and quickly burned the two zombies to ashes.

However, the road ahead was not smooth.

It seemed as if powerful undead were waiting for them ahead. Almost every few miles they advanced they would encounter attacks from one or a group of undead.

It made the two of them feel very embarrassed.
