Chapter 299: Fragmented Memories of Immortality
"Dad, what is this thing? Why does it give me the feeling that the universe is right in front of me?"
Looking at the "pillow" in the giant coffin that was as crystal clear as a purple diamond and emitting a dreamy glow, Li Xian'er felt as if her soul was being sublimated.
"This is the Divine Mark Purple Gold, one of the Nine Immortal Golds. It is one of the best materials for refining extreme weapons."
Li Zhi couldn't suppress his excitement, and he waved his hand to take the piece of divine purple gold shaped like a jade pillow out of the coffin.
After the "pillow" flew out of the ancient coffin, it seemed to be suppressed by heaven and earth. The dreamy light began to restrain, and even its shape underwent subtle changes. Straight cracks appeared on the immortal gold body that was once a part of Hunyuan.
I originally thought that the immortal gold had existed for too long, and its essence had been lost over the years.
But after holding it in his hand, Li Zhi discovered that the cracks on the divine purple gold block that looked like a round pillow were very neat. They were not traces of immortal gold breaking apart after losing its essence. It seemed like it should be like this.
Finally, after the "pillow" stopped changing, it revealed its original form.
The prototype of the pillow was actually a book made entirely of divine purple gold.
Li Zhi quickly opened the purple gold book with divine traces, but found that there was no text on it.
At the same time, he also discovered that the ropes that tied the divine purple gold tablets together were actually woven with eternal blue gold thread.
A wordless scripture actually used two kinds of fairy gold, which was extremely extravagant.
"Dad, why are there no words on it?" Li Xian'er came closer and even used her divine sense to observe the golden fairy book, but found no signs of any words.
"This is the legendary wordless heavenly book." Li Zhi said excitedly.
"The wordless heavenly book? Is there anything special about it?" Li Xianer asked hurriedly.
"The so-called wordless heavenly book in the world of cultivation is not without words, but a scripture used to record the traces of the Dao of heaven and earth. It records the original traces of the Dao between heaven and earth. For cultivators whose Dao cultivation has not reached a certain level, all they see is a blank when they look at it. But in the eyes of those with profound Dao cultivation, it is filled with densely packed mysterious Dao patterns." Li Zhi explained to Li Xianer.
At this moment, in his eyes, this wordless heavenly book was filled with traces of the mysterious avenue.
It's like a tangible carrier of the laws of heaven and earth.
Just one look at it can bring people into the realm of enlightenment.
If his real body was here, he could save a lot of time on enlightenment by observing this heavenly book and practicing.
Using divine purple gold to cast the wordless heavenly book really complements the other.
Li Zhi even discovered that the divine purple gold used to cast the scriptures had been refined to the level of initially awakening the mysteries of immortal gold, and could autonomously capture the patterns of the great way between heaven and earth.
"Xian'er, you must carefully refine this heavenly book, and it's best to treat it as a secret treasure of your Yuanshen. Let it accompany your Yuanshen at all times. This piece of divine purple gold has obviously been refined to the point of spiritual communication, and has initially awakened the secrets of immortal gold. If you practice in the Wahuang Changsheng Realm for a while longer, perhaps it will copy the Wahuang Avenue between heaven and earth, and in the future it will be the most important auxiliary tool on your path of cultivation."
After Li Zhi finished speaking, he directly sealed the wordless heavenly book forged with divine purple gold into Li Xianer's sea of consciousness, so that it would accompany her soul at all times.
When Li Xianer breaks through to the Xiantai secret realm, the value of this wordless heavenly book will gradually become apparent.
"Use the secret of the word 'Soldier' that your father taught you to refine it." After completing the seal, Li Zhi said to Li Xianer.
"Dad, this wordless heavenly book is so precious, you should use it." Li Xianer said.
"Dad has a treasure to help him practice, so he doesn't need it." Li Zhi's eyes were full of kindness.
Afterwards, Li Xian'er stopped being polite with Li Zhi and began to use her divine consciousness to refine the Wordless Immortal Golden Book.
Half a day later, she finally took the Immortal Golden Book for herself.
"Dad, there is a complete inheritance of divine thoughts in the Heavenly Book. It is written in Dao runes, and I can't understand it." Li Xianer said in surprise.
"Copy it for your father." Li Zhi said with his eyes lighting up.
Afterwards, Li Xianer gave a copy of the divine consciousness inheritance that she had seen to Li Zhi.
When Li Zhi saw this, a hint of shock flashed in his eyes.
"Dad, what does it say?" Li Xianer asked curiously.
"It talks about the identity and origin of Taoist Tianyan, as well as the purpose of his forging this wordless heavenly book." Li Zhi said.
"Dad, tell me quickly." Li Xianer said.
Li Zhi nodded, and then told Li Xianer what he saw from the divine consciousness inheritance.
The true identity of Taoist Tianyan is actually the youngest son of Emperor Fuxi, and the son of a true human emperor.
However, after he came of age, Emperor Fuxi personally severed the emperor's bloodline and sagehood in him.
Afterwards, he gave up his original name and officially changed his name to "Tian Yan". At the same time, he started all over again and embarked on a special path to immortality.
Because he saw from his brothers and sisters what it was like to be the emperor's son at the end of his spiritual practice.
He resolutely embarked on a path to immortality that even Emperor Fuxi was deducing.
This path is to evolve the immortal scriptures in the mortal world, and then directly practice the immortal scriptures, and finally achieve the ultimate goal of transforming from a mortal into an immortal.
For this purpose, Emperor Fuxi bestowed the wordless heavenly book that he had refined with divine purple gold to Taoist Tianyan, and erased all traces of the great way on it.
Taoist Tianyan started from the origin of all things in heaven and earth and evolved the scriptures of immortality.
Later, he practiced the so-called "Immortal Scriptures" that he evolved, and eventually became a powerful great sage at the pinnacle level.
His combat power directly surpassed that of his older brothers and sisters at the same level.
When everyone thought that he would create the miracle of two emperors in one family, his cultivation stopped at the peak of the Great Sage level.
Emperor Fuxi personally deduced the secrets of heaven and finally figured out the reason.
Taoist Tianyan lacks the immortal energy that he has cultivated himself, so he is unable to cross the chasm between the Great Sage and the Quasi-Emperor.
In the end, after living for nine thousand years as a great sage, Taoist Tianyan still died of old age.
Moreover, he sealed all his life's learning in the animal skin beneath him.
That piece of animal skin was a special quasi-imperial weapon. It was made by Emperor Fuxi using the skin of a dragon from the ninth level of the quasi-emperor realm, specifically for Taoist Tianyan to refine an innate Bagua diagram for deducing the immortal arts.
It does not possess any combat attributes, but in terms of deducing martial arts techniques, it is indeed an invaluable treasure.
Taoist Tian Yan used the deductive power of the divine map to transform the traces of the origin of heaven and earth engraved in the wordless heavenly book into a "scripture of immortality" in his own way.
He tried to start from the original traces of the Tao between heaven and earth and restore the "True Dragon Treasure Technique" which was ranked high in the immortal scriptures during the ancient times.
Li Zhi knew that there was indeed a book in the ancient times that could do this, starting from the simple runes of the origin of the avenue and eventually deducing the "True Dragon Treasure Technique".
The name of that scripture is "The Original True Explanation", which is the scripture of the supreme truth left by the true Immortal Emperor.
The Immortal Emperor Law of Emperor Huang Tian is the "Great Law of Transformation and Freedom", which hides the ultimate mystery of the human body's secret realm.
Unfortunately, Emperor Huang Tian’s law cannot be seen in the human world.
After listening to Li Zhi's introduction, Li Xian'er asked curiously, "Dad, can mortal cultivators really practice immortal scriptures?"
Li Zhi said with certainty: "No."
"Why not?" Li Xianer asked.
“Because there is no immortal energy in the mortal world, cultivators themselves cannot cultivate immortal energy. No matter how powerful a being is, it is impossible to become an immortal in the mortal world.” Li Zhi said.
"Then can't the Red Dust Immortals become immortals in the mortal world?" Li Xian'er asked. "Xian'er, although the Red Dust Immortals have the word "immortal" in their names, they are not real immortals. The so-called Red Dust Immortals are just people who have cultivated the fruit of longevity. The real immortals have to go through the immortal tribulation, and the avenue in their bodies will also transform into the immortal way. The life level will also evolve into a real immortal creature. Only such existence is the real immortal." Li Zhi said.
"Is it impossible to evolve into the laws of immortality in the mortal world? Didn't your notes say that there are real immortal weapons in the human world?" Li Xianer asked.
Li Zhi explained: "The immortal laws contained in those immortal tools are not the same as the immortal laws transformed from the great laws cultivated by cultivators.
Strictly speaking, mortal cultivators cannot forge true immortal weapons. The immortal weapons that exist in the true immortal laws are all immortal weapons left over from the ancient times when heaven and earth allowed immortals to become immortals.
The so-called immortal weapons forged by later generations are actually a process of change of laws, rather than a process of change of the great way.
It is actually not that difficult to transform from the strength of mundane laws of the Tao to the strength of immortal laws.
It is like compressing a piece of iron into a density comparable to that of gold. It is not impossible to do.
But can we say that iron with a density similar to that of gold is gold?
Actually no.
The so-called immortal laws in the immortal tools forged by later generations are the same, except that the power of the laws can be compared with the power of the immortal laws. It is a transformation of the power level, not a transformation of the Tao level.
In fact, except for the few real immortal weapons handed down from ancient times, the so-called transformation of other magic weapons into immortal weapons is only a transformation at the power level.
If it is a transformation at the level of the Great Dao, then they themselves can evolve into immortal matter, and can even give this matter to other living beings.
Just like the elixir of immortality in the universe, that is something of the true immortal level, because the elixir of immortality can evolve into a small amount of immortal substance during its growth process, and this immortal substance can be used by others.
However, due to the reasons of heaven and earth, the power of the elixir of immortality has been weakened to the level of mortals.
If those elixirs of immortality were brought into the fairyland, their medicinal power would soar dramatically, and even one fruit could create a true fairy.
If a cultivator can transform the great path he cultivates in the mortal world into the path of immortality, it is equivalent to connecting a broken section of the great path for the entire human world.
If this can be achieved, the entire universe will be promoted.
Unfortunately, the human universe is originally a broken universe, and the origin of heaven and earth does not support this kind of promotion at all.
Xian'er, you have to remember that the way and the law are not things that can be directly equated.
The way is the way, and the law is the law.
Although laws are the tangible carriers of the Tao, they are not the complete manifestation of the Tao.
The so-called law of the Tao actually means the power of the law derived from the Tao.
Laws are not the same as the Dao. Apart from the few immortal artifacts left over from the ancient times, the immortal laws contained in other so-called immortal artifacts are not the same as the real immortal laws. "
Li Xian'er was almost confused by Li Zhi's long story.
But she understood that the reason she felt dizzy was because her cultivation was too low, so she no longer tried to understand the true meaning of these words.
Then she urged Li Zhi to take the Xiantian Bagua diagram out of the giant coffin.
After Li Zhi took out the Xiantian Bagua diagram and made sure that there was no murderous intent, he handed it to Li Xianer.
After Li Xianer got the divine map, she began to use her divine thoughts to refine it.
After initially leaving a mark in the divine map, surprise immediately appeared on her face.
"Dad, there is indeed a cultivation scripture in here. It is very mysterious, even more profound than the Xiantian Changsheng Gong that I practice. It seems to be no worse than the scriptures of the Taiyang Zhenjing and Taiyin Zhenjing that you taught me."
After finishing speaking, Li Xianer handed the divine map to Li Zhi and asked Li Zhi to look at it himself.
After Li Zhi probed his spiritual thoughts into the divine map, he indeed saw a scripture called "Tianlong Xianjing".
The five volumes of scriptures are extremely profound, but unfortunately they are not as complete as the Imperial Scriptures. It seems that each volume is missing a later part.
Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that Taoist Tianyan’s cultivation has remained at the peak of the Great Sage level.
In addition to the cultivation scriptures, there are four secret techniques in separate chapters, namely "Heavenly Dragon Song", "True Dragon Fist", "Dragon-Guiding Hands" and "Dragon-Controlling Techniques".
After a cursory reading, Li Zhi discovered that these secret techniques seemed to have the same effects as the Nine Secret Techniques. They were not only offensive techniques, but also techniques for strengthening oneself.
"Tianlongyin" is a technique of attacking and killing with the soul. At the same time, one can temper one's own soul through the sound of dragon's roar.
"True Dragon Fist" is a method of controlling the power of the body, and can also forge a strong and immortal body.
"Dragon-Guiding Hand" is a method of borrowing force, borrowing all external forces for one's own use, and even drawing in the power of all things in heaven and earth to cleanse the body and enhance one's own Taoist nature.
"Dragon Taming Technique" is a method of controlling weapons.
Li Zhi had a vague feeling that Taoist Tian Yan seemed to want to restore the real "True Dragon Treasure Technique" through these secret techniques.
In the end, loneliness was restored.
"Dad, there are words on the bottom of the coffin." Just as Li Zhi fell into deep thought, Li Xianer also came to the giant coffin and carefully examined it.
She discovered that this coffin seemed to be an indestructible treasure. Various mythical beast patterns were engraved on the coffin board, all of which were full of mysterious Taoism. Almost every mythical beast pattern represented an original Tao rune.
Li Zhi walked forward and did not look at the patterns, but went directly to look at the bottom of the coffin that was previously covered by animal skins.
After reading it, Li Zhi discovered that it recorded a mysterious method of longevity.
It seems to be the method of immortality deduced by Emperor Fuxi.
The content of the scripture is very long, but after Li Zhi roughly read it, the content of the scripture can be summarized as follows.
"The gods who transform their bodies into immortal weapons and their spirits into immortal weapons use the immortal weapons to suppress their true spirits, ultimately achieving eternal immortality."
The more Li Zhi read it, the more familiar he felt this method of immortality was. Soon he remembered that the ancient emperor of Blood Phoenix Mountain had transformed himself into a weapon - the Phoenix-wing gilded halberd.
Could it be that the legendary Fuxi Dragon Stele is actually the body of Emperor Fuxi the Great?
But when I think about it, it doesn’t seem right.
The Fuxi Dragon Stele was completed after Fuxi the Great became emperor.
Moreover, the information collected by Li Zhi clearly recorded that the Fuxi Dragon Stele had been destroyed in the ancient war between gods.
Like the Nuwa Dao Stone, it should have been destroyed in the dark turmoil of ancient times.
The whereabouts of the remains of these two imperial weapons are still unknown. No one knows into whose hands they fell, or whether they fell into the chaos.
Li Zhidu benefited a lot from studying this method of longevity.
Afterwards, Li Zhi said to Li Xian'er, "Put away this coffin as well. It may be of great use in the future."
"Dad, I'm going to practice now." Li Xianer said after putting away the coffin and the sacred map.
Li Zhi nodded and said, "You should go outside to practice next. Your uncle Ye is about to behead the Dao. If you can observe his great calamity of beheading the Dao, it may be helpful for your future practice. You have made a breakthrough in your current cultivation, but you lack the necessary experience. It's time to go out for a walk."
Li Xian'er asked: "Uncle Ye should go to the outer space to overcome the tribulation, so what should I prepare?"
Li Zhi said: "You don't need to prepare anything. When the time comes, Dad will project the image of your Uncle Ye overcoming the tribulation in the outer space into your mind."
"Thank you, Dad." Li Xianer smiled sweetly.
Afterwards, she came to the abandoned Nuwa Temple in the valley to practice.
But she didn't know that more than a dozen monks were slowly heading there.
