Chapter 73 Captain America Attacks
Amid the shouts and curses, Steve walked off the stage in frustration. He understood why the soldiers below the stage were so excited.
"Fuck, what new American superhero?"
"Who does he think he is? Fuck! How can he be on par with Colonel Lin Jue? What on earth is the government doing?"
"The new American war hero, what battle did he fight in? Doing those funny ugly dances on the stage!"
"Get those ladies on, I can't stand that Steve!"
The whole hall was filled with curses and shouts. Even though the officers were reprimanding the soldiers, they did not stop spitting and some non-commissioned officers even joined in!
The entire venue was in chaos until a group of girls in cheerleading uniforms ran onto the stage. Only then did the angry soldiers slowly stop and patiently watch the girls' performance on the stage.
Slowly walking out to the back of the stage, Steve gently threw the cloak he was wearing on the ground. He was already a little tired of this kind of life. From the initial novelty to the current numbness, he didn't know where to go!
An attendant quickly came to him.
"Steve, Commander Carter is looking for you!"
Steve suddenly raised his head, a hint of joy flashed in his eyes, and he quickly rushed to the camp behind the stage.
A tent.
"The military finally let me take part in the operation?"
"No! I just hope you can participate!" Carter looked at Steve, whom she hadn't seen for many days. At this moment, his face looked a little haggard. She had also heard the rumors about the army, which was why she came.
“Maybe you are the only one who can complete this task now!”
"?"
He slowly told the story that Lin Jue had been carrying out a mission during this period, but the information was leaked by spies, causing them to be ambushed and now all of them are missing.
"What? Colonel Lin Jue is missing too, and so is Bucky!"
Steve was stunned when he heard the bad news. The piece of news was a heavy blow to two people. One was the person who promoted him, the boss who appreciated him and changed his life, and the other was his good friend since childhood. Now the two most important people to him both met with misfortune because of one thing.
Carter couldn't help but hug Steve, not knowing how to comfort this upright young man.
"I am willing to go, and I must go!"
Steve looked at Carter with determination. At this moment, he had never been so determined in his goal.
Under Carter's leadership, Steve finally returned to the training camp after a long absence.
Looking at the familiar field where he once sweated, Steve had a complicated expression. He seemed to see Lin Jue's figure and the affirmative and praising eyes when he was training himself.
Lin Jue's arrival was like a ray of light that broke through the darkness and illuminated his small world at that time.
Steve's arrival also surprised some of his former partners. After not seeing him for such a short period of time, they could hardly recognize this once weakest guy.
"The news of Colonel Lin Jue's disappearance has not been announced yet, so I hope you don't leak this news. Otherwise, it will easily affect the morale of the US military!"
Carter walked up to Steve and spoke softly.
Steve nodded slowly. As a soldier, how could he not understand Lin Jue's reputation in the army? It can be said that not only the US military, but even the civilians in America often talk about that man's heroic deeds! Taking a deep breath, Steve walked towards the familiar group of soldiers with a determined look in his eyes.
Under Carter's command, the Iron Blood Training Camp operated quickly, and soon a military truck drove in front of the two men.
Steve got in the truck.
"Do we really not need to arrange some soldiers to follow you?" Carter asked again with a worried look on her face. Even though she had seen the abilities Steve possessed, she still couldn't help but worry.
"No need! I am a completely different person now! You know that!" Steve said in a firm voice.
Soon the truck sped away, stopped in front of a military airport, and slowly got on the plane that Carter had arranged in advance.
With such highly efficient operations, Steve went from the comfort mission to the airspace above the German territory in just three days.
At midnight, Steve put on his parachute pack and looked down at the endless jungle.
"Did you land here too, Colonel?"
Steve muttered to himself, then jumped out of the plane.
The wind was howling, and his figure was falling straight down like a sharp sword. He was falling at a high speed, and just before he landed on the ground, he opened his parachute. With a strong impact, he fell heavily to the ground.
His eyes quickly swept towards the dense forest around him, and he used his abilities without hesitation. As the soil sank, he stomped forward heavily at an extraordinary speed.
The journey that Lin Jue and others took half a day to complete only took him one hour.
Looking at the empty Hydra base without any patrol officers, Steve's face darkened slightly. Thanks to his strong physique, he did not feel tired at all after such high-intensity running.
He rushed into the factory quickly, and his appearance instantly caused two German soldiers who were chatting inside the factory to draw their guns. The next moment, Steve, who was running towards them quickly, knocked the two men to the ground with two heavy punches.
The two men fell to the ground and fainted instantly.
Without any pause, Steve rushed quickly into the Hydra base.
With the sound of gunfire and roars, more and more German soldiers discovered Steve's presence. They held iron plates pulled from somewhere to block the bullets and shot quickly.
At this moment, Steve was actually exchanging fire with dozens of German forces at the same time.
As the iron shield in his hand became dented, the opponent's firepower dropped instantly, and Steve directly threw the iron shield in his hand away.
With a dull crashing sound, the iron plate knocked three German soldiers flying backwards in an instant.
Taking this opportunity, Steve instantly jumped to the railing beside him and rushed quickly towards several German soldiers who were changing magazines.
A German sergeant realized that it was too late and instantly took out the dagger in his hand and stabbed Steve quickly. However, his slow speed allowed Steve to dodge his dagger in an instant, and at the same time, a fierce elbow hit his temple.
Ignoring the German sergeant who slowly fell to the side, Steve quickly rushed towards the panicked German soldiers.
Accompanied by a loud roar inside the factory, German soldiers slammed heavily into the surrounding walls. While the German soldiers shouted "monster", Steve broke through layer after layer of blockade.
Until he came to a place where many American prisoners were held...
