Chapter 253: The War Knight's Messenger

Chapter 253: The War Knight's Messenger

On the high-speed train, the carriage was filled with noisy conversations. Some people were rushing past, while others were enthusiastically discussing their upcoming destination.

"Star City is much better than Gotham, especially in terms of public security. The police there are much more reliable than those in Gotham!"

"But I heard that because of the Blood Cult, many criminals in Gotham have fled to Star City. It will probably become the new capital of sin soon."

"Oh, that's not true. The police in Star City are different from those useless guys in Gotham. Besides, Star City also has its own heroes."

"Gotham is completely rotten and beyond redemption. It has only calmed down a bit recently because of the Judgment Council, but it will never be that simple."

"..."

There were voices of discussion everywhere, except for one place which seemed too quiet. A woman looked outside the car, leisurely appreciating the scenery passing by quickly.

"Ding dong!"

The sound of a message being received came from the phone, and his fingers were flying across the screen, his expression both focused and calm.

"Have you arrived, sir?"

"arrive!"

"Okay, I'll pick you up right away (●—●)!"

After turning off the screen of her phone, the woman's face lit up with interest at the full touch screen phone. Even though she had been tinkering with it for several days, she still hadn't figured out the principle of this phone.

The old man sitting next to her looked at the woman who kept turning off and on the screen with some surprise, with a hint of weirdness in his eyes. He subconsciously sat towards the edge and kept a distance.

As the train arrived at the station, everyone jumped off.

The warm sunlight shone on the entrance of the train station. Even though she held up an umbrella, she still shielded her forehead with her hands somewhat unnaturally. It had been a long time since she felt such bright sunlight...

"here!"

A girl wearing glasses stood in the crowd, calling out loudly, holding in her hand a plaque with a clear pattern drawn on it.

A sun emitting black "light".

Seeing the sign, the woman strode forward.

"You are Ms. Amelia...?"

Felicity widened her eyes and looked at the woman in front of her who was holding a black umbrella and exuded heroism and unrestrainedness. The first impression of the woman in front of her was that she was heroic.

"Yes!"

……

The lights are bright and the overall color is white. There are no windows around, and the walls are all made of stainless steel.

Oliver was concentrating on organizing his weapons. The first thing that caught his eye was the sword blade, which was leaning quietly against the wall, emitting a terrifying silver glow under the light.

Two fingers gently stroked the blade. Unlike the body of the knife, the blade shone bright silver, obviously mixed with some special substances.

After making sure it was extremely sharp, Oliver looked at the longbow beside him. The lines of the bow were smooth. He pulled the bowstring and found that both its elasticity and strength had reached the highest level.

After carefully checking his equipment, Oliver put a pistol on his waist. At the moment he finished checking, he pulled out a dagger from his side and stabbed it behind him. However, there was nothing behind him.

With his hair standing on end, Oliver suddenly turned around and looked in astonishment at the guy in the black cloak who was looking at him calmly.

"Law--"

The extremely sharp whip kick hit out instantly, but was easily caught by the oncoming person's hand.

There was a hint of admiration in Kyle's eyes, but the strength in his hands was not light at all. He casually pushed to the side, and Oliver's body flew backwards instantly.

However, even after falling to the ground, Oliver still did not forget to fight back. A silver light flashed, and the high-speed spinning dart instantly brushed past Kyle's cheek.

A deep bloodstain was left behind, with bright red blood dripping down, accompanied by some kind of burning injury, which made Kyle frown instantly.

"You're pretty good, Green Arrow."

Kyle teased in a relaxed manner without rushing to deal with the guy in front of him.

"You're the guy who caused the turmoil in Xingchen recently!"

Oliver quickly got up from the ground and looked vigilantly at the man hidden under the black cloak in front of him. The scarlet pupils made him shudder, and the ghostly speed subverted his cognition.

Vampires were scarier than he had imagined.

"Hehe, actually there is no conflict between us, and I am not interested in your revengeful behavior at all. I just want to hide quietly in Star City...but why do you keep looking for trouble with me again and again?"

Kyle paced slowly, looking at Oliver who was pretending to be calm in front of him, his eyes were extremely deep.

"...I want to protect my city!"

"Hahaha! Guardian? You want to emulate Gotham's Batman? Haha, but do you have the strength to match him? You are just a mortal, and you actually want to fight against God!"

After saying this, Kyle didn't plan to waste any more time and flashed away.

Looking at the black shadow coming towards him, Oliver's pupils suddenly contracted. He bent his bow and drew his arrow in one go. The arrow mixed with silver flew past, just barely brushing past the black shadow. He retreated backwards, waving the dagger in his hand.

The moment the claws touched the blade, a bright flame burst out. The power coming from the blade made Oliver change color. Looking at the oncoming claws, in desperation, Oliver instantly pressed the controller hidden on his body.

A bright red light suddenly appeared at the central combat platform in the basement. However, it only lasted for three short seconds. The scorching flames instantly broke through the shackles of steel, and the sound of gunfire instantly filled the entire basement.

Oliver only felt a pain in his body, and then the next pain, his body was instantly sent flying backwards to the exit of the basement by a powerful impact.

His body hit the wall, and the pain brought by the powerful impact made his muscles tense. He staggered to his feet, looked at the oncoming face, and suddenly became sober.

The silver sword in his hand was as fast as lightning as he swung towards the man in front of him, but was swept away by a claw. Seeing that he was no match for his opponent, Oliver turned around and rushed towards the back door.

When a ray of sunlight outside the grass shone on his cheek and when his footsteps passed the door frame, Oliver was not happy but worried. He pulled the grenade in his hand in advance and threw it behind him.

But with a loud bang, a dark shadow instantly crashed into him. Feeling the sharp claws sinking into his chest, Oliver stared blankly at the man who came into his sight.

His figure, mixed with unparalleled power, suddenly disappeared into the dark basement.

The sounds of fighting soon died down until the gate of the manor opened again and Felicity finally came back in a sports car with Amelia.
