Chapter 215 The Legend of the Underworld
A heavy rain was falling.
The night enveloped the ancient and dilapidated streets, and the bluestone brick-paved road reflected a bright glow under the faint moonlight.
In the dim and narrow streets, people in tuxedos walked hurriedly without a word. They did not hold umbrellas and let the rain soak their clothes.
The dilapidated houses around were not only covered with traces of time, but also had claw marks half a finger deep. The windows were broken, and the remaining bright red blood was washed away by the rain. All these people came to this house, their eyes hidden in the shadows, staring fixedly at the empty and dark room.
There was endless murderous intent all around.
"Hey, friend, you can't go in there!"
The sound of voices outside on the street broke the dead silence.
The old man looked with fear at the man with an umbrella who seemed to be sizing up the alley.
"Why can't we go? What are these guys doing?"
The man said with some doubt.
"Little brother, hurry up and leave, it will be too late if you don't leave now!"
The old man looked towards the alley in panic and kindly reminded that as one of the few elders in this town, he understood better than most what was hidden in that deep alley.
"All right……"
Seeing that the man had given up the idea of finding out what was going on, the old man breathed a sigh of relief, and the man walked forward to hold an umbrella for the old man.
"Thanks!"
"You're welcome. Didn't you kindly remind me?"
"Ugh……"
The two men disappeared in the rainy night, however, they did not notice two figures walking out of the alley.
Their eyes, filled with inexplicable meanings, stared at the two disappearing figures.
Roar……
A low roar came from the deep alley, accompanied by some sharp hissing. The strange roar lasted for a long time, until the heavy rain turned into a drizzle, and blood flowed out of the alley along the water at the entrance.
With a shrill howl, this unknown fight seemed to end.
……
The dim kerosene lamp illuminated the somewhat shabby and messy hut.
Under the light of the kerosene lamp, a girl who quietly poked her head out couldn't help but scream.
"ah--"
"Hi!"
The man, a stranger, waved his hand gently and took the lead in greeting.
"Why do you look different from me? No... But you're still pretty!"
The girl's face turned slightly red.
"Oh, you probably haven't seen a Chinese person before?"
"China?"
A puzzled look appeared on the girl's face.
"Bena, he's Asian!"
The old man at the side reminded with a smile.
There are so many countries in Asia that he doesn’t know which one it is.
"What happened in that alley just now? I seem to smell something unusual."
Lin Jue smiled and asked patiently.
"Ugh……"
The old man looked extremely solemn. He subconsciously glanced at the situation outside the window. He came to the table and blew out the kerosene lamp. He said with some trembling, "I wonder if you have ever heard of the bloodthirsty monster hidden in the dark?"
"vampire?"
"you know too?"
The old man looked at the calm young man in front of him in surprise.
Could it be that there are also these monsters in the far east? The old man had mixed thoughts.
"Ah……"
Lin Jue smiled but did not respond directly. He looked out the window at the dark street. In a field of vision that ordinary people could not see, he could clearly see figures that seemed to be walking towards this side.
clap clap clap clap!
Continuous footsteps were heard outside the house, and the old man subconsciously looked towards the door.
"not good……"
His face turned pale, and he suddenly felt that he had been too nosy just now.
Bang bang bang!
Sure enough, there was a knock on the door outside.
"Oh no! Why are those guys chasing us?"
The old man wanted to cry but had no tears. In panic, he looked at the little girl beside him, quickly pulled her up and went to the inner room. He glanced at Lin Jue, who was still sitting upright in his seat with a calm expression, and then closed the door of the inner room tightly.
When he came out again, he seemed to be ready to die.
As the inner door opened, Lin Jue did not see the little girl, and he did not ask the old man.
"I sent her out through the secret door at the back!"
The old man seemed to say it casually, looking at Lin Jue with a somewhat nervous look, whose expression remained unchanged.
"Well, it seems that the guy knocking on the door scared you..."
"Yes……"
boom!
There was another violent knock on the door. Unlike the previous one which was neither hurried nor slow, this time it seemed urgent and strong, and the person who came seemed to be a little agitated.
The old man walked to the door tremblingly, and Lin Jue then glanced at the floor of the inner room.
With his extraordinary hearing, he could clearly hear the rapid beating of the young heart just beneath the floor of the inner room.
The old man is really too cautious.
Lin Jue did not feel any dissatisfaction about this matter. He watched the old man slowly open the door of the house.
Several people wearing western hats and with very stern faces pushed the pale old man away and quickly looked around the small and crowded house.
After taking a look at Lin Jue, who was sitting at the table with a calm face, the leader said in a deep voice, "Did you notice a strange couple coming here?"
"No, my dear friends, my house is only this small. You can see at a glance that there is nothing hidden in my house."
Knowing that the man in front of him was not looking for Lin Jue, the old man breathed a sigh of relief.
As these people jumped in, the old man's heart began to rise again.
After searching the house carefully, the leader stared at Lin Jue, who had his eyes lowered and remained silent.
“Strange faces…I haven’t seen Asians in a long time!”
Lin Jue looked over and saw the man subconsciously licking his pale lips with his tongue.
However, Lin Jue's next words made the old man's heart suddenly rise.
"Why? Do you want to have another taste?"
Lin Jue sat in his seat, looked calmly at the man who was slowly approaching, and smiled directly.
"……Roar"
With his long fangs exposed, the man glared at Lin Jue fiercely, but he did not see any trace of fear on the face of the man in front of him.
"You guy? You're not afraid of us?"
Looking at a vampire who seemed to notice the wooden board, Lin Jue said: "Hehe..."
"laugh!"
The sharp claws instantly grabbed the neck of the man in front of them who seemed to be playing tricks. The leader wanted to make the guy who dared to look at them pay with his life!
"what!"
At this moment, a scream was heard. The panicked old man's expression changed drastically and he rushed to the inner room. The situation in front of him made him bloodshot.
He saw a vampire holding the girl's neck with one hand and looking at him with a grin.
