Chapter 117 Mysterious IKEA

Chapter 117 Mysterious IKEA

Of course, there are some supermarkets whose years are very different from mine, like Old Jack, who said he entered the supermarket during the American independence period. My God, how many years has this supermarket existed?

And there was something very strange, that is, they entered IKEA from different places, and the place names they said were all kinds of different, in short, completely different from me.

Aren’t there many IKEAs like this in the world?

Or will this IKEA move around on its own?
But the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. No one comes looking for us missing people because we're not from the same place. This may sound a little weird (maybe that's the motto of this place) but could it be that these people are from different dimensions? Realities? Whatever you want to call it. I've watched enough TV shows to know a thing or two about this.

Sarah comes from a place where there is no Declaration of Independence.

Wasim came from a place where no space station had been launched. If everyone came from the same place, or even looked like the same place, it could cause a huge panic about missing people.

But there was no massive search. We were probably just a small case, one of the few missing people that happens every day in the world.

Ok. Interesting thought exercise.

Just realized that yesterday was my six-month anniversary here.

I don't know if IKEA sells party hats. The usual stuff here is probably pretty much the same.

More newcomers appear, one every few weeks.

Food supplies have been up and down, but we haven’t had any major shortages.

Occasionally there would be guests from other nearby towns, usually Checkout Town or the 630th Walkway Town.

We greeted each other and occasionally traded when there was a particular shortage.

It's comforting, in a way. A reminder that we're not alone, some kind of small civilization. Sometimes they bring medical supplies. Apparently there's a drugstore a few towns over from Checkout that restocks from time to time, so they share when they can.

I've never heard of a pharmacy in IKEA, but it wouldn't be surprising if someone discovered an organ harvesting lab at IKEA. It would explain the origins of the employees.

Speaking of our Faceless Jailers, their attacks have become more frequent recently.

Now it's three or four times a week, twice as much as before.

It is not known where they come from or why the attacks are getting worse.

We tried to follow it during the day a few weeks ago, Sarah and I. Trying to see if it could lead us to a staff room or something. But it didn't go anywhere, just randomly wandered down the hallways. We were back without success.

We reinforced the walls, and wanted to better arm ourselves. There was certainly no shortage of materials. Wasim made more crossbows, but they were still too ineffective.

It's too bad that IKEA doesn't **.

[Note: No new personnel entered IKEA during the time period of this diary entry]

The attacks are getting really bad now. They come almost every night, and with so many employees, the bodies are piling up until others can crawl through the walls. I think we are in big trouble.

The exchange town has already, alas...

I think Exchange is done for. We got a good beating last night. Not many casualties, but the wall is broken. We finally figured out why the attacks are escalating. There's a piece of employee stuck in a crate of supplies. No idea how it happened but apparently it's as attractive to them as a whole body. But it's too late now, too many bodies to move, and the wall to repair before night falls. Candace has called a meeting. I suspect there'll be talk of abandoning Exchange, and maybe trying to find shelter in Checkout.

But it's too late. I don't think we have time to do it. Maybe one of us can do it. After all, I was fine in the dark for the first week here. But after that, how long will I be lucky?

I'm just writing this as some kind of closure, I guess. For me, or anyone who finds this. This is the last entry, and I hope whoever reads it will escape from this place. What am I most afraid of? I'm afraid of dying tonight and waking up here again in the morning.

[Note: This is the last diary entry. It is speculated that while trying to reach the "checkout" settlement, he was chased by the "employee" instance and got separated from the others, and happened to reach the exit.]

The diary ends here.

Based on this diary, the shelter learned more about IKEA.

The problems here are beyond everyone's imagination.

Perhaps this IKEA supermarket has existed for many years and appears randomly in different places, or perhaps there are actually many IKEA stores, but no one has discovered them.

However, it is not known whether it will appear in different universes and connect people from different universes.

"I don't know how many people are alive in this supermarket, what kind of civilization they have formed, what the origins of the monsters are, and why it is an infinite space. I'm afraid no one knows."

"What the shelter can do is to buy up the area around this supermarket and prevent anyone from getting close. If anyone comes out, we will ask them all the questions and then erase their memory. We will try to keep them alive. If an employee runs out, we will kill him immediately."

"We haven't stopped our research on IKEA."

The video ends here.

Everyone was dumbfounded.

Strange: "How is this possible! This supermarket can actually connect people from different universes! Impossible!"

Tony Stark: "But if that's not the case, how do you explain that some people don't know about the International Space Station, the Apollo moon landing, who is the president, etc. According to the description, they are not that kind of old people."

Jiraiya: "It looks so confusing. It's just a supermarket, why is it so weird?"

Odin: "This is probably the product of some god. Human power cannot make such a thing."

When Odin said this, he couldn't help but take a breath. Being able to connect people from different universes is probably something that only evil gods at the multiverse level can do.

But why do we need to create such a supermarket?

Usopp: "It's so pitiful for the people trapped inside. I hope they can get out one day."

Bruce Wayne: "I think if they really come out, it might cause a lot of trouble."

Usopp: "Huh?"

Seeing Bruce Wayne say this, everyone else was confused.

Bruce Wayne: "Think about how long the people trapped inside have been out of touch with the outside world. Moreover, they come from different universes, and their knowledge is completely different. If they return to the real world, can they still live a normal life?"

Tony Stark: "Yes, they live almost like primitive people in there. If they suddenly return to modern society, I'm afraid they can't keep up in all aspects, which will lead to all kinds of troubles."

Zhan Guo: "That's true, but even if that's the case, we can't stop them from coming out. We can teach them a lesson and then deal with them."

Bruce Wayne: "That's exactly right."
