Chapter 234: Harper Alliance

Chapter 234: Harper Alliance (IV)
"This is where……"

Abil slowly opened her eyes, only to feel weak all over and having difficulty concentrating.

But she quickly became alert, remembering her last memory - being held tightly in the claws of a terrifying dragon and strangled to death.

"damn it!"

Abil subconsciously reached for her waist, but did not feel the familiar dagger. Even the emerald green cloak she was wearing was gone, leaving only her underwear.

She sat on the ground and looked around vigilantly. She was surrounded by an unfamiliar palace. Everything inside seemed to be a magnified version and was so empty that it was a little scary.

Suddenly, a huge shadow enveloped her.

"Elf, you're awake."

She turned her head stiffly and saw the huge body and ferocious head of the red dragon.

Abi was immediately terrified. The nightmare scene of the red dragon about to devour her was still vivid in her mind. But she still gathered her courage, clenched her sweaty fists, and stammered:
"Evil Dragon, what do you want to do?"

Cassius grinned slightly, revealing a mouthful of sharp teeth.

"What do you mean?"

Abil's body couldn't stop shaking. She suddenly thought of some rumors that the Harper Alliance had collected:

According to the descriptions of the nobles of the North, this red dragon is both a tyrannical dragon and a dragon of Slaanesh. He would transform into a ferocious human body several meters tall, wantonly humiliate beautiful girls, and then transform back to his original form and swallow them whole.

Abil is only in her thirties, which is undoubtedly an age when she is about to blossom for the elves, a race with a long lifespan.

And such humiliation is far more terrible than death!
She thought about dying heroically, but she definitely didn't want to become a tool for the evil dragon to vent his desires.

Thinking of this, Abil gritted her teeth and said word by word:

"I...will not let you control me!"

Abil slammed into the solid wall, hoping to end her life.

This is her last struggle and her only way.

However, in the face of such a huge disparity in power, even death becomes a luxury and out of reach.

The red dragon only clenched its claws slightly, and the giant claws formed by the flashing magic force field tightly grasped the elf, making her feel like she was imprisoned in a cage, unable to move at all.

She didn't even have the chance to struggle.

"Do not……"

"Evil dragon, you will be punished."

Abil's eyes were full of despair. She lowered her eyelids slightly, her amber eyes closed tightly, and crystal tears flowed from the corners of her eyes.

The elf girl no longer dared to imagine what was about to happen to her and could only close her eyes tightly, her shoulders still trembling.

In the darkness, Abil felt the smell of sulfur coming towards her.

Is it...

Is this the end of it all?

In her last moments, she thought of her lofty ambitions when she left the Elven Kingdom, her solemn oath when she joined the Harper Alliance, her coincidental first meeting with Richard, their sneaking into the Red Mage Tower to search for intelligence, and even the quiet beauty of watching the sunrise in the Kadaven Forest...

"I'm so unwilling to give up. I want to experience more."

Abil thought so.

However, she did not feel the pain she had imagined.

"Elf, do you want to live?"

The deep voice of a giant dragon was heard, along with the smell of hot sulfur.

Abil did not feel relieved because she knew that the red dragon might have other intentions towards her.

Maybe he wanted her body, or maybe he wanted to get information about his allies, but the former was easy for the dragon in front of him, and the latter was more likely. She thought of the oath she made when she joined the Harpers:

"Don't ask for anything in return, just do it for justice."

The Harpers are a loose organization, but they still hide many vital secrets.

The red dragon must not be allowed to know any information about the Harper, and must not serve the evil forces. This was the only thought in Abil's mind, and it was also the awareness for which she was willing to sacrifice her life.

"I won't live like this any longer"

So, the elf girl still clenched her teeth, closed her eyes, and sealed her whole body.

She was determined not to reveal any information, even if it meant being eaten alive!
But the Red Dragon's next words made her suddenly flustered, and she unconsciously relaxed her guard.

"Don't you want to know Richard's whereabouts?"

Abil suddenly opened her eyes and asked nervously, "What did you do to him?"

"He's in a great place now, it couldn't be better."

Cassius simply grinned coldly, and created a magical image in front of the elf, in which the figure of the half-elf ranger appeared.

"Fortunately, he is still alive"

When Abil saw the familiar face, she immediately breathed a sigh of relief and felt much more at ease.

Then, the red dragon's voice sounded on the screen: "I want you to return to the Harper Alliance and become a double agent for the kingdom."

Abil's heart was suddenly lifted up again, and she prayed in her heart: "Richard, you won't agree."

But the elf began to worry again, fearing that the next scene would be Richard, who refused the order, being brutally killed by the red dragon, which made her mood become extremely complicated.

Not long after, Richard's familiar voice sounded again.

"It's an adult."

"How can it be"

Abil murmured to herself, her pretty face full of disbelief.

"Evil dragon, you bewitched him! Or is this just an illusion?"

Abil looked at the red dragon angrily. She was still unwilling to accept all this and attributed it to the enemy's lies.

How could Richard, his companion who he had been with day and night, betray the Harper Alliance without hesitation and become the person she despised the most, willing to serve the evil dragon!

Cassius looked down at the elf with a teasing smile on his face, and slowly approached her.

"Do you think I have to lie to you? Snack."

"I just want you to let go of those meaningless fantasies and come out of those ridiculous fairy tales."

"This is the naked reality. The so-called faith and oath of you Harpers are simply vulnerable. For the sake of their own lives, people can easily sacrifice everything. Even those glorious elven gods of yours have countless blood debts hidden behind them."

"Excuse me, you, the self-proclaimed righteous Harpers, have you ever investigated these past deeds?"

"No, that's absolutely not the case."

Abil shook her head in panic and quickly explained.

However, after the magic images were replayed over and over again, her defense seemed so pale and powerless in the face of the red dragon's deep words.

The red dragon's head was getting closer and closer, and its hot breath made the elf sweat profusely.

"So. Tell me, elf."

"Do you want to live, or die?"
