Chapter 19: The Dragon Returns

Chapter 19: The Dragon Returns
"Roar--"

With a loud roar, the red dragon flapped its wings and flew over the rock fortress.

The ogre guards on the ground immediately waved their wooden sticks and cheered, while the flying dragons guarding on both sides of the gate stretched their necks, raised their heads, and let out long roars, welcoming the arrival of the owner of this nest.

When Cassius returned to the Giant's Mouth Cave, even the Chimaera came forward to greet him respectfully, not daring to be negligent in the slightest.

"Trump, I'm out for a few days, how are things going?"

The ogre magician in front of him was actually wearing a pair of exquisite silver-rimmed glasses. I don't know where they were stolen from. The small glasses were struggling to support his huge head, making him look ridiculous.

Rump pushed his glasses up deliberately, unfolded the scroll in his hand, and said as he flipped through it carefully, "There are currently 38 ogres, 435 goblins, 26 wargs, 27 bugbears, 121 kobolds, and 15 flying dragons in Burning Ember Lair."

He paused for a moment before speaking, "Three days ago, the hobgoblin leader Doro sent twenty-seven wolf riders to the Lost Mine. They suffered heavy losses, with only six riders returning alive, three of whom were injured, and the remaining twenty-one wolf riders were all missing."

"Where's Doro?"

"He's still at the goblin camp. The goblin camp and the kobolds' nest overlap, and he's leading people to tear down the dogs' nest." The ogre mage chuckled, with a cunning light in his eyes.

"I understand. You can continue to study magic." The red dragon's tone did not reveal any emotion.

"Lord Doro, you can't tear this down. We need to hatch eggs here." The ogre leader with gold teeth on his mouth smiled and looked up at the tall earth elf.

"Get away, you stinky bastards, don't bother us." Dolo waved his hands, looking impatient.

Gold Fang hesitated for a moment, but still stood in front of the hobgoblin and said, "Sir, we have specifically reported this to Butler Trump, and he has already approved it. Don't you think it's unreasonable to make a last-minute change?"

In the eyes of the hobgoblins who worship war and force, these weak ogres are worthless and not even qualified to be cannon fodder. What's more, their intelligence indirectly led to his loss of dozens of wolf riders, causing Trump to ridicule him several times.

Thinking of this, the earth goblin leader became more and more annoyed, and his already red-brown face turned even redder. He kicked the dog-headed man away and spat at it fiercely.

"Trump, Trump, Trump again, an ogre is nothing!"

"If you hadn't shown your face in front of the master and recorded your name, I would have given you sooner or later—"

He was just about to go up and kick him again, but suddenly he found that his shadow was covered by a huge black shadow, and the dog-headed man on the ground also showed an expression as if he had found a savior.

"What will happen sooner or later?" the Red Dragon said in a cold tone.

Duo Luo's expression suddenly changed 180 degrees, and he immediately put on a flattering smile. He turned around and said with a smile: "Master, you are back. I was careless just now. I didn't go to the door to greet you, but wasted time here."

Jin Ya knelt on the ground, crying and complaining: "Master, you have to make a decision for us kobolds. Lord Doro has good intentions, but without a nest, what can we kobolds do?"

Doro gave him a vicious look, then turned around and put on a flattering smile: "You misunderstood, I was supervising the construction progress of the goblin camp, and I saw these kobolds disturbing us, so -"

Cassius couldn't stand this farce any longer, so he interrupted directly: "That's enough, Doro, leave some space for the kobolds, and don't cause any more trouble."

Jin Ya was very satisfied, and he kept on spouting flattering words, and his lips were almost leaving afterimages.

"Great master, your kindness and justice are unmatched, and your majesty is unmatched." "Continue to repair your nest."

The red dragon didn't pay much attention to Gold Fang, but just said to the hobgoblin: "Call those wolf riders here, I want to see what could cause them such heavy losses."

When the earth elf heard the red dragon mention the wolf cavalry, he became a little uneasy, but when he saw that the red dragon did not get angry, he breathed a sigh of relief and continued to carry out orders.

With the sound of wolf howls, several wolves carrying goblins ran out of the camp and surrendered before the red dragon.

The six goblins in front of him looked terrified, most of them were injured, and one was even carried out by a wolf. His body was covered with charred scars and was covered with herbs used to heal wounds. It looked like he would not live long.

Doro held the whip in his hand and ordered sternly: "Tell the great master about your experience."

"That, that's a terrible monster." said one of the goblins.

"It ate everyone," added another goblin.
"It, he is a shadow."

It was just as the ogre had said before, a monster that could devour everything. Its appearance could not be seen clearly in the dark mine. Only a vague black shadow could be seen, and it could be inferred that its size was extremely huge.

"Is there no useful information?" asked the Red Dragon.

Seeing that the Red Dragon seemed a little angry, Duolu immediately swung the whip in his hand, making a crackling sound, and shouted: "Your cowardly escape is enough to shame the master. Now that you have the opportunity to make amends, can't you play a role?"

Although the goblins were afraid of being whipped, they knew nothing and even their stupid brains could not make up any decent lies.

Duo Luo looked up at the red dragon and immediately changed his expression: "Master, please trust me again, I will make these rubbish useful, next time, next time for sure"

Just when Cassius was feeling a little disappointed about this.

The goblin lying on the back of the warg opened his eyes with difficulty, opened his mouth with effort, and said intermittently: "I, I saw lightning. It, it can use lightning. Blue lightning."

This goblin's consciousness has become somewhat confused.

But it was clear that the lightning had left a deep impression on it.

lightning?

Or blue?
Could it be a blue dragon?
But then Cassius shook his head. Blue dragons prefer to live in the desert rather than in the dark and deep mines. Their proud character does not allow them to hide in the darkness.

What's more, the blue dragon is famous for its strong sense of territory. There is no way it would allow kobolds and human smugglers to enter its territory.

"I still have to go there in person and find out what's going on." Red Dragon thought.

Under the current circumstances, sending more followers over would simply be a waste of their own strength. According to the wolf riders' description, even if they sent wyverns, they would probably just end up being defeated.

And Cassius would never let the gold mine that was right at his doorstep slip away.

The review was against the sky, more than 200 words were deleted. Does the goblin conform to the system XP?
