Teammates offer sacrifices to the heavens, and their magic power is boundless!
In many film works, using the death of important people around the protagonist to promote the protagonist's transformation and explosion is a common trick used by screenwriters.
But there are not many stories where the protagonist dies at the very beginning.
In "The Forbidden Kingdom" starring Jackie Chan and Jet Li, there is a scene at the beginning where Sun Wukong is plotted against by the Jade God of War and is petrified.
The problem is that judging from the entire storyline of the film, the Monkey King in the film is definitely not the protagonist.
But everyone is watching it differently now, because the name of the film is "Black Myth: Wukong", you can't replace someone else as the protagonist, right?
What puzzles the audience even more is why the golden hoop that disappeared after becoming a Buddha suddenly appeared?
The only reasonable explanation is that it never disappeared, it just hid.
Some film critics thought about this issue carefully and felt that this guess was more reasonable.
Because there are only a few people who can recite the golden hoop curse, if you don't recite it, Sun Wukong won't feel a headache.
As for the fact that it is impossible not to feel it when wearing it on your head, that is not a problem.
Because when Sun Wukong asked the Buddha to remove the golden hoop at Lingshan, the Buddha told him to feel it himself, and only then did he find that the golden hoop was gone.
Therefore, the truth is that the Buddha only concealed the golden hoop, not removed it. If Sun Wukong had honestly been the Fighting Buddha in the West Heaven and acted according to the Tathagata's command, he would naturally not feel imprisoned anymore.
But if he doesn't obey, he can use this thing to kill Sun Wukong at the most critical moment.
This weakness can last a lifetime!
When the film critic thought of this, he became extremely excited and felt that he could write a good film review based on this point alone.
Even to elaborate, it is like a leader who uses people and takes advantage of the weaknesses of his subordinates. On the surface, he says that the matter is over and everyone should not mention it again.
But in fact, everyone keeps something in reserve, this is the norm in the world!
On the big screen, an old monkey from Huaguo Mountain was telling the story of the Monkey King to a group of little monkeys in front of a rock.
It is said that the body of the Great Sage is hidden in the huge rock beside him. After his death, his six roots were scattered between heaven and earth, transformed into six spiritual objects, and each of them fled.
If someone could find the Great Sage's six senses, collect them and bring them back here, perhaps they could revive the Great Sage.
Soon, a monkey wearing grey cloth and looking somewhat similar to the Monkey King stood out from the crowd, also holding a golden cudgel in his hand.
The old monkey said to him, "You can find the Great Sage's golden cudgel, so you must be a man with a destiny. If you are determined to travel and look for it, you may be able to collect all six roots!"
The monkey immediately expressed his willingness to go out and look for the Great Sage's six roots, and then said goodbye to the old monkey.
The monkey left the Flower-Fruit Mountain and soon arrived at the Black Wind Mountain. He then fought against Guangzhi and Elder Jinchi, and finally retrieved one of the six roots, "Eye-Seeing Joy".
Jiang Heng described this part of the plot in detail.
After all, the plots of all the chapters in the original game are too long to be shown in one movie. Time does not allow it!
After editing, the final plot was decided to be only Black Wind Mountain, Yellow Wind Ridge, Little Western Paradise, the second battle with Yang Jian, and the havoc in Heaven.
I left Black Wind Mountain here because this section is really meaningful.
The Black Bear Demon and Elder Jin Chi have known each other and became good friends a hundred years ago. The Black Bear Demon does have some abilities, and if he teaches Jin Chi some longevity techniques, he can live a long life.
After becoming the abbot of Guanyin Temple, Elder Jin Chi became more and more greedy. He could not walk when he saw a good cassock, which was a case of "seeing to please".
Because of this, Elder Jin Chi died because of his greed, died in the sea of fire, and turned into a wisp of wronged soul.
In this movie, the Black Bear Demon obtained one of the Six Roots of the Great Sage, returned to Black Wind Mountain, and rebuilt the Guanyin Temple.
Not only that, he also used his roots to revive his old friends Ling Xuzi and Elder Jin Chi, and appointed a new scholar in white. Unexpectedly, after Jin Chi was resurrected, he was trapped in his obsession and became a ghost, running around the mountains.
But when he was about to be completely defeated when facing the Little Saint, he suddenly came to his senses and said in a sad voice, "I don't want the robe anymore, I don't want it anymore." Many people felt sad when they heard it.
A film critic secretly sighed, "When the Monkey King saw the Dinghai Shenzhen, he wanted to take it away. What's the difference between him and Jin Chi and Black Bear?
The first root, “joy at sight”, is essentially greed, a desire for wealth and power. It is insatiable and has an endless desire!
When the Great Sage pulled out the Dinghai Shenzhen, and when Jin Chi and Black Bear sought Tang Monk's cassock, they were all showing joy.
When Elder Jin Chi said, "I don't want that cassock anymore," he was finally freed from greed, but everything is in the past now!"
In this movie, the root of "Seeing Joy" is within Elder Jin Chi's body, and there is no need to fight the black bear demon.
The reason, of course, is that the black bear demon in the original book is too powerful, with abilities that are no weaker than those of the Monkey King.
It’s reasonable for this man of destiny to want to win, but the adaptation requires some thought.
Of course, the black bear demon finally showed up and said some meaningful words to the "man of destiny".
The general meaning is that he collected the Monkey King's talents not because he coveted spiritual objects, but because he was looking forward to seeing the Monkey King's return one day.
This plot seems a bit abrupt, but if you think about it carefully, it is easy to understand.
Because at this moment, the Black Bear Demon is no longer guarding the mountain behind Guanyin Bodhisattva, but has returned to his own Taoist temple, Black Wind Mountain. This experience is somewhat similar to that of Sun Wukong.
Moreover, one of them has a tight hoop and the other has a forbidden hoop, and both are controlled by Buddhist magic weapons.
Now one of them is dead, and the other has returned to his original temple and lives a peaceful life.
So it makes sense that he collected one of the Monkey King’s “six roots” and said he wanted to see the Monkey King return one day.
It's nothing more than sympathy and a sense of empathy.
The ending is different, just because of the different choices made at the beginning.
When facing the siege by the Heavenly Court, Sun Wukong would rather die than surrender.
As for the Black Bear Demon, he is probably just taking a New Year leave. When the leader calls him one day, "Little Black" will obediently go back to stand guard as a security guard!
After the story of Black Wind Mountain, it is Yellow Wind Ridge.
And this plot increasingly reflects the flavor of "Black Myth".
When the headless Lingji Bodhisattva appeared and helped the "Destiny Man" heal his wounds, the audience still thought he was a good person.
But after watching the edited and adapted story, the audience felt more and more that something was wrong.
The people of Shali were fine, so how come they all turned into rats? Who did it? The more I think about it, the more I think it must have been Lingji Bodhisattva!
If it wasn't Lingji, it might have been done by the Buddha.
In the original version of Journey to the West, Manjushri Bodhisattva went to the Kingdom of Wuji according to the Tathagata's order to find someone to inherit the position of the Golden Body Arhat. However, he failed to convert the King of Wuji and was instead tied up and soaked in the river for three days and three nights.
Thanks to the Six Dings and Six Jias who passed by and discovered him, Manjushri Bodhisattva was able to escape.
Afterwards, the King of Wuji was pushed into a well and drowned for three years.
So although the reason why the people of Shali turned into mice is not clearly stated in the film, the audience can probably guess the general idea.
When it comes to the plot of "Little Western Paradise", the Yellow-browed Old Buddha appears, which makes the audience more certain of their guesses.
Some even think that this black myth is indeed dark!
Because the yellow-browed monsters here are becoming more and more evil!
According to Maitreya Buddha, he, as a child, participated in the suppression of the Great Sage, obtained more than one root, and abducted his treasures. Afterwards, Huang Mei returned to Xiao Xitian and Xiao Leiyin Temple, held a Dharma Assembly, and attracted Kang Jinlong, the two generals of the turtle and snake, Prince Xiao Zhang, and the four demons. With the power of the Great Sage's root and the human bag, he defeated the turtle and snake, captured and bewitched Kang Jinlong, the four demons, and Prince Xiao Zhang.
He then rebuilt the temple and preached his Paradise Religion. He committed numerous evil deeds and even transformed the workers into demons and kept them in the temple to save wages.
The nearby demons also came to him and were bewitched by him.
The actor who plays Huang Mei in the film is veteran actor Wang Huichun. With his shaved head and big eyes, he looks really domineering.
The actor who plays Kang Jinlong is Tang Yan, who has not had any big movie resources for a long time.
By the way, since "Splitting the Mountain to Save Mother", Tang Yan has starred in many movies, but they are basically small and medium-budget films. When he played in Jiang Heng's blockbusters, he basically got supporting roles.
When the film was being prepared, Jiang Heng initially wanted to select an actor based on the appearance of Kang Jinlong in the game, but after much selection he found that Guo Caijie looked more like him.
The problem is that this person is not an artist from iQiyi, Youku or Tencent Video, and he has been signed to a company for several years since his debut.
If she was chosen to play Kang Jinlong, it would be a waste of resources!
Because there are very few roles for female characters in this movie, even the emotional scenes between Zhu Bajie and Zhu'er were deleted.
Kang Jinlong, who came down to earth to find her roots because of her admiration for the Monkey King, is the heroine of this film, so she is quite important.
Furthermore, the audience in this world doesn’t know what the original Kang Jinlong looks like, so there won’t be any sense of disobedience.
So after much consideration, Jiang Heng gave the role of "Kang Jinlong" to Tang Yan, who had not played the leading role in a blockbuster movie for a long time.
The effect is naturally good!
Maybe because the young lady was born with a love brain, she played the role of a girl who is infatuated with love and it felt like she was acting in her true colors.
As a result, many viewers feel that her role of Kang Jinlong is better than Yang Chan in "Splitting the Mountain to Save Mother" and is basically comparable to Zi Xuan in "The Legend of Sword and Fairy".
After passing the Little Western Paradise, Tianmingren collected a total of four roots.
Then he met Yang Jian, and after a fierce battle between the two, Yang Jian was defeated.
And from his third eye, the fifth root, “desire for opinions”, flew out!
Yang Jian smiled with tears in his eyes: "Finally I am free. It's not that I can't beat you, but your will is too strong and too torturous!"
It turned out that the Great Sage's "desire for opinions" existed in Yang Jian's third eye, constantly tormenting his will and body, just like a mental magic attack.
As for Yang Jian, he really couldn't understand why the Monkey King would rather die than surrender, and would take off the golden hoop even if it meant committing suicide!
"Once you put on that golden hoop, it will grow on your body and stay there until you die! Congratulations, brother, you will never be bound or fettered again!"
Tianming was shocked, "I have only collected five roots, and I don't know where the remaining one is!"
Yang Jian laughed, "There is no such thing as a man of destiny. You are the last one with the root capacity. The six roots have united into one. The Great Sage has returned!"
The sound resounded through the sky, shook the heaven and earth, and spread throughout the three realms and six paths.
"The six senses become one, the Great Sage returns!"
"The six senses become one, the Great Sage returns!"
The echo lingered for a moment, and the Man of Destiny laughed loudly, "So that's how it is. I'm not the Man of Destiny, I'm the Great Sage Equaling Heaven. Now I'm not bound by any constraints anymore!"
As he spoke, golden chain mail, a phoenix-wing purple gold crown, and lotus silk cloud-walking shoes appeared on his body. The man of destiny, who was originally dressed in cloth, became the majestic Monkey King.
He waved his golden cudgel and rushed towards the heavenly soldiers and generals and the Four Heavenly Kings in the distance.
Yang Jian just sat on the ground, looking at them with a smile.
At this time, Nezha suddenly appeared, "Second brother, are you just going to sit there and watch?"
"The Jade Emperor is my uncle after all, I can't help the monkey beat him! What about you?"
"I'm waiting for the Great Sage to destroy Li Tianwang's tower!"
Yang Jian smiled, "You, have you been waiting for this moment for a long time?"
"Aren't you the same?"
In the distance, Sun Wukong broke through the South Heaven Gate and many buildings he encountered on the road one after another, and rushed to the front of the Lingxiao Palace.
Although there were some stars and generals who intercepted him along the way, their strength was far inferior to that of the Monkey King when he caused trouble in the Heavenly Palace before.
The Thunder Department could no longer gather thirty-six thunder generals, only more than twenty arrived, and there were only more than ten people from the Twenty-Eight Constellations.
At this moment, Sun Wukong was no longer bound by the golden hoop, and secondly, his strength seemed to have far exceeded that of the past because he had returned from cultivation. He really beat all the heavenly soldiers and generals with his own strength, causing them to cry like ghosts and howl like wolves.
Looking up, Bajie, who was watching the battle from a distance, smacked his lips and said, "Monkey Brother is also a ruthless person. He used all the methods of rebuilding. He really made the right bet. If he had this strength back then, he wouldn't have suffered from being suppressed for five hundred years!"
Seeing the Nine Stars Officials with a group of heavenly soldiers and generals to support him, Zhu Bajie raised his rake and shouted, "Brother, don't panic, I'm here!"
On the ground, Nezha suddenly said excitedly: "Ah, the tower fell down!"
After saying that, he rushed up with his Fire Wheels and his flaming spear in hand.
Yang Jian also stood up, stretched himself, and said to himself: "Uncle, uncle, it's not that I am a traitor, it's really that this inhumane and oppressive heavenly law should be changed!"
"Don't panic, brother Wukong, I, Yang Jian, am here!" After saying that, he jumped on a cloud and headed straight for heaven.
Inside the collapsed Lingxiao Palace, the Jade Emperor had a sad face, "I knew that the three of them were traitors. Even my own nephew cannot be trusted!"
In the main venue, the audience laughed when they heard this.
Some said: "Three traitors, isn't that a very apt description?"
"Yang Jian, Nezha, and Sun Wukong, the three traitors in heaven, haha, this is a great adaptation of the plot!"
A girl who didn't know much about the background of the story asked her friend, "Isn't Nezha the Third Prince a general of the Heavenly Court? Why is he rebelling for no reason?"
The boyfriend, who was standing by, became excited after hearing this and described to his girlfriend in detail the expression on the face of the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King in the TV series when he got excited and remembered that he had forgotten to take the pagoda.
"Let me tell you, Garen lives with his body and the tower, but Li Tianwang lives with his body and the tower. If the tower is gone, he won't be able to survive either!"
"Ah, will Nezha really kill him? No way?"
Of course not, although from the perspective of the plot, if Jiang Heng, Li Tianwang, did not have a tower in his hand, Nezha could kill him.
But the plot cannot be played out like this. A few hits are fine, but Nezha cannot really kill Li Tianwang. It won’t pass the review!
So, at the end of the movie, Sun Wukong completely smashed the Lingxiao Palace, which symbolizes the heaven.
It is not just a broken plaque as in previous TV dramas. (End of this chapter)
