Chapter 30 Audition
"Raise the sails and set sail!" Lei Wanting shouted the order after all the sailors were ready.
In the boundless ocean, five merchant ships were sailing on the rippling blue sea, like huge seagulls flying freely in the vast ocean. Lei Wanting stood on the deck of the merchant ship, looking out at the endless sea, feeling the gentle breeze and the vastness of the sea.
Several days had passed since they set out from Antalaha, a port city in Madagascar. According to sailors familiar with the route, they would reach Malacca in another day. Once they crossed the Strait of Malacca, they would not be far from their destination, China.
After a while, it was still noon, but the sky began to darken, a strong wind arose, and huge waves began to roll on the sea, like countless violent beasts dancing wildly, galloping endlessly, unstoppable, and every impact reminded people of its amazing power.
"Quick, slow down and everyone get into the cabin to take shelter!" Seeing this scene, Lei Wanting quickly gave the orders.
When it was decided to implement the Fire Plan, Lei Wanting learned sea sailing skills from several veteran captains, including, of course, how to deal with storms. Moreover, there were many experienced captains, first mates and sailors in the fleet, so he only needed to play a leading role.
While Lei Wanting was leading his fleet across the boundless ocean, fighting against violent storms and huge waves, Zhang Feng was living a peaceful life.
America, Los Angeles, Hollywood.
After finishing his work, Zhang Feng couldn't wait to come to Paramount. He wanted to quickly shoot The Amazing Spider-Man, not to meet Hedy Lamarr. Well, that's it.
Accompanied by Paramount General Manager Zhu Ke, Zhang Feng visited the entire company for the first time. He then introduced himself in front of all the employees of the company and gave an impassioned speech, encouraging everyone to continue their struggle and work hard to achieve the great rejuvenation of the company. Of course, there would be no salary increase.
"Boss, Miss Heidi is already at the company. What time do you think would be convenient for her to come for the audition?" Zukor reminded him as soon as he sat down in the separate office reserved for him at Paramount.
Although he doesn't come here often, a chairman's office is still essential. After all, he has to personally interview the heroines of every movie of the company, and as a director he has to work overtime at night to explain the scripts to them.
This requires a relatively private space, otherwise they won't be able to let go and liberate their nature. How can they play their roles well in movies and improve themselves?
So Zhang Feng’s office is in the corner of the second floor of the company. It has a lot of space, and the logistics department has just provided him with a new desk, sofa, etc.
"Well, that's fine. Let her come to my office for an audition. Let's finish the interview quickly so we can start filming." Zhang Feng said casually without any expression.
"Okay, boss. I'll go out and ask Miss Heidi to come for the audition alone." Zhu Ke understood and said, then left the chairman's office.
After a while, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in." Zhang Feng said lightly
"Hello, Chairman, I'm Hedy Lamarr, and the general manager asked me to come here for an audition."
A sweet female voice rang in his ears. Zhang Feng looked up and saw a slender hand like white jade holding the handle of the office door. The door was gently pushed open and a young girl walked in. The girl was wearing a white gauze-like dress, as if she was in the smoke and fog. She seemed to be about sixteen or seventeen years old. Except for her black hair, her whole body was snow-white and her face was beautiful.
What made Hedy Lamarr different from other European and American actresses was that her hair was black, breaking the convention that there were only blonde beauties on the Hollywood screen.
"Well, please sit down," Zhang Feng stared at her closely and pointed at the sofa for guests.
Hedy Lamarr walked to the right side of the sofa, then bent down and sat on the sofa. Her long hair hung on the outer armrest like a black waterfall. She was wearing a white embroidered slim dress that wrapped her slim and tight figure.
As his eyes moved upwards, a pair of slender legs wearing white high lace socks, with one leg slightly raised and bent, appeared in his field of vision.
Looking up, she was wearing a short white dress, with a pair of hands in black lace gloves on both sides of the dress, and black hair fluttering in the wind. Above her was a crystal pendant necklace. The owner of the necklace had a delicate, smooth face, slightly pouty pink lips, a perfectly straight nose, and a pair of crystal blue pupils that attracted his attention the most. On her head were black twin ponytails tied with a blue headband that fluttered in the wind to both sides under the moonlight.
The more Zhang Feng looked at her, the more stunning she became. She was as beautiful as the two women at home. However, she was at the blooming age, and her youthful aura was another thing.
Zhang Feng stood up from his desk and sat down on the sofa opposite her.
"Heidi, your image is very suitable for the heroine of my new movie, but the company discovers good actors from all over the world every year and brings them back to the company for training, so there are still many beautiful actresses in the company. You get what you pay for, understand?"
After Zhang Feng took over the company, he sent someone to bring her from Berlin to America on the pretext of discovering and training more beautiful actresses, and Paramount did begin to implement this plan.
The company recruited many temporary scouts and asked them to search for good talents and bring them back to the company for training. Zhang Feng planned to use beautiful women in every future Paramount movie, whether it was the heroine or the supporting role.
Zhang Feng did this not only for the company, but also for the audience, and it has nothing to do with himself.
Even if a movie made in this way is a bad movie, it is a beautiful bad movie. It is worth the price of the ticket just to see the beauties in the movie.
"Boss, I understand." Heidi blushed and said to Zhang Feng shyly.
Hedy Lamarr didn't expect that her boss was so handsome. She felt attracted to Zhang Feng as soon as she entered the door.

"Well, you may have thought too much. What I mean by sacrifice is that you can't have a romantic relationship or any scandals within five years. The company will vigorously train you in the future, and you can't do anything that harms the company's interests." Zhang Feng said righteously and seriously.
Although he really wanted to, Hedy Lamarr was not yet eighteen years old. In order to avoid being censored, he could only endure it for the time being. But he couldn't give away the little cabbage he had worked so hard to raise to others, otherwise he would become a minotaur. So he made this request first and wait for the right time.
"Oh, oh, so that's how it is. I understand." Hedy Lamarr said in confusion, her face getting even redder.
Zhang Feng turned sideways to look at her, gazing at her from top to bottom. He saw that her long hair was casually tied behind her head, and her jade neck with a crystal necklace pendant made her look even more slender and beautiful. Her 1.68-meter figure, set off by high heels, made her look charming but not lewd, pure and noble like a white lotus that has emerged from the mud without being stained. People felt pity for her and dared not play with her.

"Okay, today's interview is over. Remember to abide by the company's regulations, otherwise there will be severe punishment. Do you understand?" Zhang Feng stopped at the right time. He is still a gentleman with a bottom line.
"I understand, boss." Hedy Lamar replied softly. She hadn't recovered yet and just answered subconsciously.
"Okay, work hard from now on, and go out." Zhang Feng reminded her.
Hedy Lamarr finally came to her senses, stood up immediately, and left the office quickly.
Zhang Feng also finished his work for the day. Alas, the boss's life is so simple and unpretentious. With a sigh, Zhang Feng also left the office and returned to the manor under the escort of bodyguards.
